I got the Taco model with the most features offered with an MT. A Sport AC. Just turned 200 miles - Love it! For all of you that have been whining about the Automatic ....All I can say is neener-neener. The MT, Clutch etc are as smooth as silk. Not sure what I'm going to do with all that HP however :)

This has been ringing LOUD and CLEAR. Me too, wanted a TRD AC OR M/t, ended up with an automatic. Im ok with it.

We didn't order it. We waited until we found a dealer with the vehicle in their allocation. Put a deposit down on 11/16 and picked up 12/16, a few hours ago. Build date was originally 12/16 then moved to 12/11

Based on those buttons, you don't have any buttons in the head liner?

This is where I am exactly at... I dont want a DCSB, I want the AC TRD OR in a MT....suits my wifes and mine needs for an all inclusive overland Tacoma to sleep in/storage. Beats having a RTT you constantly have to set-up/break-down, and MPG reduced having more drag.

I think it depends on the color of the truck. I have the quicksand (tan) TRDOR and get a lot of compliments on the contrast between the tan truck and black fender flares.

Those buttons are in the head liner, but they are also the only buttons up there.

Thank you for posting the pics:) I could have purchase a white TRDDCORMT off of the lot, but could not talk myself into the DC. The auto is an acquired taste for me, the manual mode and ECT provide some driver interaction. Very happy over all. Beautiful truck, congrats!

Thanks! Now if I'd just saved some money to put into it instead of the house (I thought the truck was supposed to be the money pit)!

When I drove 5 hours to pick up this truck, it reminded me why I wanted a manual. The transmission was constantly hunting from 3rd to 5th on my 2012. One benefit for you is you should have noticeably better fuel efficiency. With the manual, 70MPH in 6th is at 2500rpm, the auto should be less than that.

Agree on the DC, I had the TRD DCLB Sport, and the cab is where I compromised. I wanted room in the box if i ever choose to build a rig like the one shown a few posts up. To each their own.

X2 on the gas mileage. My '07 TRDORACSport 6MT (recently sold) would get 17 city shifting at 2000 rpm; I could never get more than 19 highway. My '13 4R auto gets 17 city and 22-23 highway. Do miss shifting that '07:)

If I drive nice,I do notice better mileage than my 2012, but I don't like to be below 70 on the highway :/

Canada has a TRD Sport "upgrade" package. Don't know how this differs from the sport package in the U.S. Came with some nice features so went with that. DCLB TRD SU 4x4!
