So what is the difference between these two winches. I know the vr8000 is an "entry" level winch. But what does that mean? Then what does the m8000 have that makes it jump in price?

M8000 has a faster line pull and is made in the USA. It has better contactor electronics instead of solenoids.

I rarely use a winch, but I'm going with the M8000 because everything I've read tells me it's worth the extra $200.
