If you hit Portland take a drive up the Colombia River Gorge. Absolutely amazing.

Anything figured out with the Bend house?

I second this. This was the waterfalls trip I did a few months back. Definitely an amazing drive.

The dates for Bend are still a go. I think Hannah found a decent motel, but I'm not too sure exactly where. Lol.

If you are into rock climbing check out Smith Rock. Not far from Bend. Also don't skip Crater Lake in your travels and if you have time hit Oregon Caves as well.

When you go to Crater Lake take time to hike down to the lake, fishing is awesome from the bank.

I have a dilemma. My dad's birthday is the 21st, and my son has the State trap shoosting competition on the 24th. Sooooo it would take some serious logistical fortitude to pull off the travel required to make that happen. Not saying no just yet, but I wouldn't be driving and would need a crash pad for one night. Still looking into it...

@vrod671 is there any chance we could do a couple days of house rental? I haven't looked into it yet, so I don't know if it's cost effective (I'm totally fine with chipping in, for sure), but it might be worth it if there's a handful of us that also need a place to stay....

Avoid Klamath Falls like the plague. Nothing worthy to see or visit, not even any waterfalls. The lake stinks and is full of algae and wormy fish. Born and raised in that backwards, racist ass town; do not recommend. Best thing I ever did was move away from there.

Anyway, if you feel like gambling there's Kla-mo-ya casino north of Klamath. Take 140 E to 97 N (if I recall correctly). There's lake of the woods between Medford and Klamath, used to swim there in the summer. Crater Lake is a must-visit, I always make it a point to stop by whenever I'm near.

Might be a bit early in the year for that. We got some massive snowfall this year and there is still A LOT up there.
