Anyone think that putting the sway bar back on would help fix this issue?? I’ve dont the vsc recalibrate about 15 times today with no luck. Or do you think adding a little preload to the front coils would help. I’m lost here and really not wanting to go to the dealership tomorrow but that’s all I can think to do now. I don’t wanna do the abs kill switch mod just because of lights be on all the time.

Put the sway bar back on and see if that helps.

Well the guy I bought it from didn’t include it with the truck. Contacted him earlier and picking it up this coming weekend.

@Barhopper did you check your tire pressures since the tires were installed? And maybe confirm that all 4 tires are indeed the same size and load rating while you are at it.

@landphil yes I actually checked the tire pressure as soon as I got home yesterday. They had them set at 35 on all corners. I set them to 32 in front and 30 in rear. Going back to the shop that installed the tires and done alignment in the morning to see if they can’t get it going right. Although on a side note I did hold the trac control button down for 5 sec the last time I drove it. The auto lsd light went off and the trac control light stayed on. Took it for a drive and drove the ever living shit out of it and could not get it to do it then. Just sucks having to do that every time I get in the truck.

The same shit everyone else has.
Mine did this at one point. The vcs would trigger when the tread of the tire would contact the mud flap in a turn. It doesn’t take much to cause the vcs to freak out.

Is the tire rubbing on anything?

Not that I can tell. No mud flaps on the truck and plenty of clearance with the wheel turned either way. Kinda weird as it seems to do it only when turning right and going uphill slightly. Have a few mountains (well hills to some people) and it doesn’t do it coming down the mountain and there are a few tight turns. Baffles me. I’ve looked at wires, checked clearances, checked tire pressure and the vsc recalibrate with nothing going my way.

Going back to the shop in the morning that done the work. Hopefully they know something to do with the zero out procedure. If not I guess the dealership will get my beer money for this month.

OP, I had a terrible time with my VSC system after my lift as well. My best advice is to give it time. I almost couldn’t take a turn at all immediately following my lift. Lifting your truck basically makes the VSC computer think your truck is nose high. In the computer’s mind, nose high + a turn = a slide. Over time under normal driving conditions your VSC computer will re-learn the way your truck is positioned and the way it moves. As it re-learns and your lift settles, things should smooth out. Mine took a few months, and I drive a lot.

Also, Put the sway bar back on (I did, it’s much safer and less of a handful to drive), while you’re at it add a sway bar relocation kit. This will prevent excessive body roll (which can also trigger the VSC) and the relocation kit will prevent the sway bar from contacting your front struts. Best of luck

I didn’t just lift the truck. It’s had the king coilovers on it now for about 35000 miles. Same with the rear leaf pack. The absolute only thing that has been changed on the truck is the recently is the oil, tires and alignment

My truck would do the same, yank me into oncoming traffic. Took one of the ABS fuses out and that did the trick but Christmas tree lights on the dash. Later when I swapped tires I put the fuse back in and it hasn't done it since. Bottom line ,it was the type of tires I was running Toyo M55. Good tire just not for my truck.

@la0d0g I’m went to the shop this morning. Told me to come back after lunch cause they were swamped. They didn’t give me any specs on the alignment but I’ll ask for them when I go back.

@Hunter gatherer the tires I put on are a lot less aggressive than the ones I took off. All I’ve heard is good things about them on here. Falken wildpeak at3w. Maybe that’s it. Seem to ride really well and hardly any road noise.

What did the tire shop say?

What I would do is take it to the dealer and ask them to fix your alignment, and if it continues the dealer will know to fix it, my guess is that they will reset the computer better than we can

Went back to the shop just few minutes ago. Said they couldn’t give me the specs on where they set my alignment at cause they erased it or something since they do so many. They did however try to reset my vsc with no accomplishment. Pulled out on the road and now I have the vsc light that stays on. Didn’t get fixed and did get worse. (Just because of the light on now). Guess the dealership will have to try their hand at it now. Really making me miss my Cummins. Lol

I did however do the reset that @Crom posted and it did turn my light of but still activates going around curves with the brakes grabbing and all. I did hear the mechanic saying that my yaw sensor was reading -1 and my steering angle sensor was reading -1. Don’t know what that means but it sounds close to zero to me. Lol

OP it may be something very minor but I overlooked it and had the same problem for a week and a half. To reset the VSC the parking brake must be applied. I mention this because it seems like common sense in an AT. I have the 6MT. It will not reset the VSC successfully without the E-Brake being set. I doubt this is your issue, but a quick and easy way to possibly fix it before going to the dealer. Good luck and post back with a solution.

This alignment shop sounds sketchy at best.

Try some one who’s willing to work with you. Tell them what you want and have them set it at that, not just “in spec”.

Or better yet, do it yourself. It’s really not that hard.
