Can you link us to where Toyota states up to a 3" lift is OK as far as the warranty goes

 

As expected- "Oh, Toyota contradicts my opinion on the matter? They must not know what they are talking about!"

I'm going to have to go play in a parking lot this winter. I'll be mildly annoyed if, no matter what buttons I push, I can't slide my truck around!

 

My dealer told me that when I purchased this last June, but you might contact the help desk and they could verify it.

That reply is from a customer service rep not a tech or someone who engineered the damn system. I shut mine off by holding it in and did donuts in an empty parking lot (lots of snow) and what do you know it kicked back on.

 

In 2WD or 4WD? Lifted or stock? What year was the truck?

Our switch, the one I sent you the wiring for, completely disables VSC and TRAC right? I know it kills ABS all the way

Show some respect for members that have been here much longer than you and clearly are aware of circumstances that you are unaware of.

You 2 arguing that off is off clearly have way too much faith in the Toyota help desk. I went through an 18 month long lemon law case with my truck and a team of Toyota "engineers" were unable to find the problem. Somehow they failed to realize the front diff actuator is responsible for engaging the front axle, and the motor inside the actuator needs to be able to work. For it to be able to work, it has to be clean and dry. For it to be clean and dry it needs to have a vent hose connected to the nipple. As is clearly shown in every diagram and parts breakdown for the front of our trucks.

And yet a team of engineers and a dozen mechanical inspections were unable to realize that?

After winning my case I replaced my front diff actuator and breather hose and had working 4wd a week later for a total of $350. I bought a new rear bumper with the remaining settlement money.



So don't ever show your lack of knowledge again by continuing to argue with people that have experienced something that you fail to believe just because "Toyota says so"...

If you want to believe that turning VSC off via the VSC button turns it off 100% that's fine by me , it's just not my experience with it

No need to take sides with anyone , go figure it out on your own
