VSC vs. larger tires (stock otherwise)...

Discussion in '2nd Gen. Tacomas (2005-2015)' started by Puppypolice78, Feb 12, 2013.

?

Have 265/75/16's caused VSC issues on your otherwise completely stock truck?

  1. Yes. 265/75/16's gave me VSC issues on stock wheels/susp./truck.

iirc, there's a VSC recalibration procedure that may reduce or eliminate these problems. Seems like there was a lengthy thread with a poll covering that. I'll look.

Here you go: VSC and Lift interaction - how common is it?

    and Lift with VSC answer.....

OP, while there apparently can be VSC problems when deviating from stock tire size and suspension, it doesn't seem to be a frequent issue. I'm not worried about it.

Well, seems like most don't have problems... Think I'll go with larger tires!

The only mod is a hole in my wallet!!!!!
OP...I've been running 265/75/16 on offroad countersteer wheels since January and haven't had any issues. That being said, i'm putting on my lift this week. I will let you know if I have any issues with the VSC after the lift is installed.
