VSV, P0446 and Charcoal canister

    Hello all,

    I have another VSV/P0446 questions. I have a 2004 DC 3.4 4x4, and it threw a P0446 code awhile back. I have replaced the gas cap with a new one but it keeps coming on. Well, up till now I have been ignoring the little engine light, but now I need to get it inspected and it wont pass until I get this fixed. So, one thing I have noticed is that there is NO suction noise when I remove the gas cap. It must mean I have a leak somewhere in the gas tank/canister area. My questions is, would I have suction if it was a faulty VSV? I was going to check all three of the VSV's but I would think that I would have the suction noise if the VSV was defective... Anyone have any insite on this?
