In June of 2015 we decided to be sensible and got my wife a new, 2015 Gulf Sport Wagon TDI. When the scandal broke I was pissed. I knew right away I'd be selling it back. We thought about replacing it with all kinds of things, but we kept coming back to an SUV as really being the best thing for her and the kids. I've been driving a built 5th gen 4Runner for the last 2.5 years It's my second 4R & 4th Toyota 4wd. After a lot of conversations (and a little are twisting) she's decided that she'll drive the 4R and I'll be getting a Tacoma. Ordered the truck back in mid Oct. and heard from the dealer on Saturday that my truck will be here in a couple of weeks. I'm super excited for it - got all sort of plans.

All of my docs for VW were "accepted" on 11/10. Still haven't heard anything. I will never buy or recommend a VW vehicle again. The lack of communication and total avoidance on their part can't even be described.

Mine said that from October 18 until November 1 when it updated to say that all documents we're complete, they were determining my eligibility, and would provide a final offer. Funny thing is that it originally said that I'd hear from them within 10 business days. Now that part of the message is gone?

Ohh - you're a step ahead of me, sorry. My screen shows that I'm on step 15 - Documents Review. Been there since Nov. 1. I can't get any information from VW, it's one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had.

That just means they received your doc and are now making sure you didn't screw up the signing. Appointment is coming!

My docs were approved on 11/2 and my offer came 12/2; loan through VW credit. When incalled then they told me offer was completed 11/23. When I got the letter it was dated 11/23. I bet it's done just waiting publish to portal.

My appointment is this Friday, I'll share the experience afterwards. Hopefully it's painless but it's VW so it won't be

why be pissed? i am just sad that i have to turn it in lol, but happy that i get 21k back. for me, communication hasn't been bad. i log into the portal and see what needs to be done and do it and wait. its been the most painless process ever. Just sucks that no other car comes close to how awesome this car has been.

Amazing - I waited, and waited, and waited to hear from VW. Last night I posted here about how long I've been waiting. This afternoon I when I checked my email there is was, my offer letter. The Tacoma World Gods must have put the push on them!!!

Whatever it was, I'm going to get my paperwork notarized tomorrow and back to VW. Is it necessary to upload all seven pages of the signed offer letter or only the signature pages?

There is another form that needs to be completed as well if you live in Cali, not sure what it is because I'm in MA

Still waiting for the offer two weeks after documents were accepted. I know it's not the same, but coming from a solid car that had no issues (other than polluting) and jumping into a Tacoma that seems to have lots of problems that Toyota is not really addressing gives me pause. After the poor handling of the TDI scandal, I would never buy a VW again, but Toyota doesn't seem to acknowledge many of the complaints people are having here.
