Thanks, great info, had no idea, hopefully it doesn't take em two more weeks to kick it back. Already called and they can't allow another upload until this one gets rejected, what a screwed up site.

I must admit though, that Passat TDI is an awesome car. Enough room for 5 adults, 50mpg on the highway, 6speed manual, lots of torque. Hate to see it go but to good a deal to pass up. My wife would routinely get 600 miles per tankful.

lol, thats all on you. who creates separate PDF docs per page lol. wouldn't that be a fun document to read, after each page, instead of scrolling, you close it and open the next page lol.
well, being that they didnt create the site, and probably just gave specs to a third party, the site seems totally fine. I had no issues using it. but happy that you hate Germans for some reason lol

Still don't get the hate for these cars. Attempting to evade the EPA is nothing short of hilarious. Also has nothing to do with the quality of the vehicles. VW builds a fine automobile. Especially when compared to other vehicles in the same price range. Seems that everyone affected by the scandal just wanted something to complain about because before all of this, there was nothing to gripe about with the TDI's. In fact, I heard and read nothing but praise for both the new TDI's and the previous generations. Why else would they have sold as many as they did, and why would anyone mad about this have bought one in the first place? While everyone may have had different experiences than me, I hardly see a reason to hate Volkswagen for what they did, or label their cars as shitty based on nothing other than them defeating garbage emissions controls that do nothing but appease the knuckleheads at the EPA. But, opinions are like a$$holes, right? :hattip:

I loved my volkswagen, just hated the fact that right after I bought it for $13k the value dropped to 7k within about a month and then I had the opertunity to get out of it VW gave me $14k plus the $1K goodwill incentive
I drove it for a year 25k miles and made $1k I couldn't say no
that was also my 2nd TDI still wishing I hadn't sold the first

    See end of post.

The 1.9 was a great motor. Known a few people that had them and really enjoyed them. One friend is on his second one and I'm actually kinda jealous of it :p

But I agree, it's a sweet deal. I've owned a handful of VW's and never been let down. But I'm at a point that I'm ready for a truck and knowing that the Tacoma is a great platform, seems like a no brainer. Just need to decide if I want an access cab or a double cab :D

Ya, I guess I'm just not that tech savvy, didn't try to create a pdf however. Scanned all the pages and attempted to send Jpeg's just like a did with the rest of the Docs. The lack of instructions on the site is what pisses me off, that and the fact that you can't go back to the previous page.

I had a 14 Jetta TDI. Sold it in December. Great mileage, cheaply made. Now, I am slated to get half of the compensation, and the next owner gets the other half. So, even though the next owner know about the defect, they get compensation. That's just wrong.
I lost my a$$ when I sold it. Now I have an outback and a tacoma. Happy as a clam.

Not surprising after all the hoops I have had to jump through for my 2 TDI buy-backs. The idea that they send a 7 page contract, but only the last page is specific to my actual cars, and then want all of them back in one single PDF tells me it is just another hoop to jump through. Trying to decide if the passenger seat out of the Golf or Beetle would be a better desk chair.

lol, wow, cant tell if you are a troll, stupid, or both. but yes, i guess all Germans are Nazis, but with your logic, shouldn't you hate toyota too? you know for bombing Perl harbor and all? lol
you sold it last dec or this? once the news broke, there was already talk of buy backs, so why sell it and loose so much when you could just wait?
you think 7 pages is bad? have you never bought a house? you get a fun 500+ pages of bull shit to sign and go though. lol

I can guarantee i've had more vw's than most members here have had cars. Every chassis, every generation every model and almost the same from audi, stock, motorswaps, complete teardowns, resto's and the only issue i've ever had was leaking VC gaskets on a b5.5 passat wagon and a C6.5 Audi a6, and a '95 vr gti that strangely broke a cam gear. None could have even been described as problematic though. However I have a tacoma built in mexico without a single issue. So maybe im just lucky.

    Well, it's a done deal:
    • 2013 TDI Golf 4dr/6mt (Top of the line, "Premium w/nav" I think?)
    • Purchased new inSep'12 for ~$27.5k (+TTT = ~$29k OTD)
    • 4yrs+ / 92,500 miles. VW bought back for $20,900 including were sorry $ (+ the $1k they gave us last year).
Kinda sad, it was a great car. Drove it like heck (mostly hwy) and avg. ~45mpg, only basic PM, no repairs. Upside is I got to use it for the best trouble free years and got 72% of my money back (Probably the last time that will ever happen).

    FYI,
    • I started in early Oct. only a few technical hick-ups with the process. I chose a dealer outside NOVA and got a date 2-4 weeks than what was available at the big dealers closer to the city.
    • Whole turn-in process was super easy, less than 20 minutes from the time I pulled in until I walked out.
    • They verified the details of the deal, I signed 2 papers, She started it up and moved it 10 feet into a parking spot, took a few pictures, I pulled the tags and that was it.
    • I probably could have stripped the hell out it, but just not that guy. Bummer I could not find anyone to buy my almost new $1,000 tires :(
    • The "TDI Ambassador" said she had 8 yesterday, 20 today and starting next week she was going to the big dealer (Lindsay) where they had 40 a day scheduled.
    • I got the payment verification from Chase this afternoon (Fri), $ is supposed to be in my bank by Tue.

    Multiple factors I guess:
    • I wanted to get back in a Tacoma. Loved the TRD-OR w/6mt and quicksand
    • Can't really justify or afford 2 cars
    • Without the TDI, I was just not in love with the new Golfs (Meh,) or Jetta (Seem really cheap) also both now MIM
    • Golf GLI was cool, but $ seemed high for a supped-up MIM Jetta. Didn't want another sedan (If I did, the CC was a strong contender)
I've only had the new truck for a week, but very happy so far. Insurance is about the same, just have to suck-up the mpg and a few less features vs the VW.

    Gotcha

    Saw an ad at airport

    $O $0 $0 for all vw

Figured vw owners would be buying those new ones At Such deals, if they were previously happy with their vw
