Nope you are correct. My statement was a little miss leading with the first part but the comment after the coma made it clear. Haha.
As long as you received your money from VW or are in the process of getting that money you will just have to sit back and wait for the check.

Thought I'd update my progress for anyone interested. Turned in car on March 1. Still waiting for money..I called about 2 weeks after the fact and was told to wait another 5-7 days. Still nothing. I had to switch from a check to electronic transfer bc I was over my mileage, so perhaps that's the issue. But it's become bothersome at this point.

I also received a Bosch post card or whatever it is. Maybe I'll get that money first

More waiting I guess. Trouble-free process until this point. Anybody else wait this long?

I was warned about that and told to do the direct deposit instead of a check. Not that it helps you now.

Wow that is bothersome. I did the electronic check but had an issue where they funded the original amount which paid off the car between the notarized letter and trade in date. I waited 2 weeks and the money was in my account after the paper check showed up to my bank. At least I got part of my funds.

I feel some of your pain for sure. Hope you get better news today or tomorrow.

Bosch post card........WTF. I never even got a card, letter or call from even VW.

I could have sworn I was well within my mileage. That bothers me too. Should have just done electronic transfer. But, hindsight is always 20/20, right? If I don't hear anything today I'll be calling tomorrow. She did say they used to make you reschedule your appointment if you went over mileage, so thankfully I didn't have to do that. Just want my money so I can put all this crap behind me. Also, I want to buy truck stuff :D

I've heard from others that they are slow on pay offs if you still owe money to someone

Mine was quick and painless. Sorry to hear about your situation, I would say that is not normal. I had my EFT within 24 (business) hours of my turn in and my loan paid off in less than two weeks. I had paid 2 additional payments which I was reimbursed a week after the loan was paid off. The Bosch settlement is separate and sounds like 2.0 TDi owners will get an additional $350 and we do not have to do anything as long as you did not opt out of the original VW settlement.

Hope your issue is resolved soon!

We all want stuff for the truck.

The lady I dealt with told me the over or under mileage is only about $100 from what she has seen. I told her the court documents show more and she said that is not what VW is doing. Luckily I was within the range and didn't have to get screwed over.

I did have a loan for the car but I called the bank that the loan was through and was told that once the vehicle is out of my possession, it's no longer my responsibility. Stopped making payments that evening. So to me, it shouldn't matter if you still owe, but we don't live in a perfect world so I'll continue to wait. Do you get notified by the bank when the loan is paid off? Curious how that works as well.

I would call VW now and find out where they are in the process. They should be able to give exact dates for everything in this process. Maybe they Mailed the check to the bank and the bank is working the numbers. Then I would call the bank to see if there is one person that deals with the loan checks like my bank does. The ladya t my bank was very helpful and intrigued of this process.

well they do try to give you the common answers off the "Lie chart"

I always asked to speak to a supervisor if the person was to lazy to search my claim number and tell me what they see. Just be nice at first and maybe it will help.

I actually called Chase first, then they told me to call VW which was discouraging. I don't hold a lot of faith in the folks working with the VW Claims place. The few times I've spoke with them I got the suspicion that they were just thrown at a desk and told to answer phones. But, I could be wrong.

No sir I completely think you are correct. Here answer these phones and read this crap kind of call center. Most of them will work with you if they know how t and can. If you can get someone who will pull up your claim info it helps. I have had them give me exact dates before on approvals and such. I wrote them down both times and compared the dates and they were the same so no lying there. It is a pain to deal with especially trying to get the money to use for truck parts

I totally felt the process was unnecessarily long for me and a lot of it was due to incompetent people answering the phones at the processing center

VW bought back our 2010 TDI Sportwagen in December. It had 99,500 miles on it, with non-functional AC and a frozen brake caliper. Summer of '16 the clown at the VW dealer quoted us $1600 to fix the AC and told us that VW was not going to do a buyback.

VW gave us $15,600 for it.

That was our 4th and final VW.
