No time to work on or explore with the GX so might as well keep you guys updated with life. Moved to a town outside of Charlotte a couple months back. Closed on our house a little over a week ago, it’s a 2/2 with a full unfinished basement on 3.3 acres. Living out of our camper on the property while we fix it up. Scraping the ceilings and adding LVP flooring throughout. Here is some progress pictures.

Parents got a quote to finish the ceiling holy heck with all of the ceiling scraped already they want $3200 to mud the imperfections and paint the ceilings. Going to carryon with everything myself and see how it turns out. Will probably be finished scraping the ceiling in the next day or two. Once that’s done I will fix the imperfections and hopefully have the ceilings done by the time the flooring gets here next week. Removed all of the bricks and removed the huge awkward countertop.

mannn fuck that shit. 3200$ for something that you could do. You could paint it yourself and no one barring a professional eye could probs tell. Me and my wife painted an entire room and it wasnt bad and it looks pretty solid.

Yep! It’s ridiculous, they wanted $4100 if we didn’t scrape the rest of the ceilings. It’s not a big house at 1300sf

I become a SC resident tomorrow. Going to see if I can walk in to register the matrix. It’s been parked under the eve of the shop since I bought it because the sunroof leaks and it has been raining everyday. If I can’t register it tomorrow I am going to seal up the sunroof and start driving it without registration.

I finally got my civic plated. And then the check engine light came on. :frusty: Im almost done with cheap cars. But @Darkgoatracer said he will sell me his 2014 Tacoma seats, and Ill put them in the Civic. It will be a huge upgrade. Hopefully they will fit. He is giving away so much stuff. Maybe I can bolt some other Tacoma crap onto the civic and make it cooler

Hopefully I can get plates for the matrix on Thursday. I have only put 120 miles on it so far, it definitely needs a new clutch. Debating on trying to sell it once I get the title in my name or replace the clutch and drive the piss out of it.

Thats exactly where I am now! I could sell it as is, now that the title is in my name.. probably for more than I paid. Or I could keep it until it dies, which Id only expect until spring . I think the trans is slipping. Its really only good for around town. But first I need to see what the code is.

That’s sucky! Mine cruises at 80mph pretty good. It’s nice getting over 30mpg compared to 10mpg in the truck. I have saved $15 in gas so far.

I got gas last week I think. $17 for 8.2 gallons. And that lasts me for over 200 city miles. Im not sure what this light could be. Maybe its something like the solenoid :fingerscrossed:

    https://my.prostreetonline.com/2014...olenoids,and your coolant temperature sender.

$1200 for a local mechanic to replace the clutch in the Matrix or $2300 for the Toyota dealership. My gosh when did clutches get so expensive? Might just do it myself. @thefatkid does that sound right or highway robbery?
