    :p

i will tell u one thing. putting a winch in while bumper is mounted is tight. i had to remove the fan in the front, bend lines and also remove that piece of metal that sticks out and holds the metal brace. so whenever u go to install your winch just a heads up.

At least it fits. Are you not using a fan now?

What sliders are those? They look perfectly tucked in and clean as clean can be.

Got the 4xinnovations sliders welded on. Sure is fun with the KDSS system.

did you lose any ground clearance after the bumper? i think i did. cuz i was rubbing more now than i was before hand. had to do some more trimming on the plastics.

Ground clearance? I still need to figure out the best way to trim the plastic. I just did a temporary job right now. Not as easy as the Tacoma was.

guess losing lift would have been better than ground clearance. i found using the angle grinder for the white parts was easiest and just a razor blade/box cutter for the fender liner

Installed the Superwinch Tiger Shark 11,500lb winch today. Solinoid just barely fit without having to remote mount it somewhere else.

    Nice

Any issues getting it in there?

My solenoid is remote mounted but it was like that when I bought it and had it in the tacoma

Nope, removed the brackets and it fit in there very snug. Bought some 3/8” fuel line to wrap around the AC line that are in contact with the winch and frame of the vehicle.

I disconnected the brackets for all those lines and just kinda shoved as hard as a could toward the radiator and everything cleared no issues

@wrmathis does your hood contact the bumper? Thinking about taking a grinder to my brand new bumper... but want to see if it could be a bent hood first.

CW- hey we actually had a gentleman come in to the shop last week looking for help to correct the exact same issues and locations of rub, who has the same bumper on his 2006...he already had it installed on his own the weekend before. Few observations, some I will pass along to Jason. Clearance the problem plate by a 1/4"-will allow for body flex is most straight forward solution for most
My findings on last week's customer bumper:
    • I noticed right off the one piece hood/grille seemed a little lower than the fender level, so we did one full counter clockwise turn of the rubber hood isolators, lengthening them which brought the hood/grille up and about 1/8" any higher the hood would be above the fender lines on his vehicle. Some may be able to get away with 1 1/2-2 full turns and give yourself enough gap on the rub area.
    • I discovered the vertical adjustment slot for the inside frame bolt (the one that remains and is not removed) can not be larger, because the flange nut will not fit under the winch plate. So our customer's driver side had tighter gap, we used 3 thick washers between the frame/bumper bracket, for the 3 vertical bolts. It pushed it forward just enough.
    • The side adjustment slots on the frame/bumper bracket might be improved an 1/8-1/4", for both holes on each side (total of 4) which would allow the bumper to be push forward a bit more and clear the rub area.
    • We noticed the front body mounts were old and worn a bit. Pretty easy to get to. So we shimmed them up with a thick washer and a long pry bar. Each side done. Passenger side required removing the windshield washer reservoir temporarily to get to the body mount bolt.
In all we were able to get an extra 1/4" of gap, no rub on the grille or fender sides on the bumper.
