42" deck fits nicely. Don't think you'll fit anything bigger.

If you take the mower deck off most of the common the residential riding mowers with larger than 42 inch deck will fit.

Thanks yall. I looked at a 42" mower today and measured the deck. The deck seems to be two inches too wide to fit between the wheel wells. I didnt have ramps so I couldn't test it out for sure.

I used to have a small john deere. It wouldn't fit between the wheel wells, but it would go in far enough that the rear wheels would rest on the tailgate. I'd set the brake and run a ratchet strap (and rope for backup) around the front wheel axels, hooked onto the front D rings. Then I'd run a ratchet strap around the back end attached to rear rail rings. I'd do 300 miles up the interstate with it and it was more than secure.

John Deere LA145 fits nicely. 48" deck. Have to leave the tail gate open, but just secure the thing with some good straps.

Thanks for the pictures Benny. I have a 46" Cub Cadet I have to deliver to TN. and was hoping I could get it in my truck without having to rent a trailer. Just need a set of ramps and I am in business Thanks.

Good luck with your truck not bottoming out.
My '07 has the stock 3 leaf springs, & I can not put my 4-wheeler in the bed without it bottoming.
Secure your load & drive slowly.

I have the 4-leaf, hopes that makes a difference. The drive to TN. is about 11 hours.

Only need to add one thing. My Sears 42" cut tractor has a mow deck with a "flip up" grass shoot. I use a bungie cord to hold the chute up in the vertical position and am able to get the tractor all the way to the front of the bed and can close with tailgate. Without holding the chute up I would have to hold the tractor at the point where the chute hit the wheel well bumps as it would not fit any further forward

Made it to Tenn. The riding mower fit into the bed of the truck with no problem after removing the cutting deck. Figured I had about 800 lbs. in the bed. What was nice I had a busted leaf and Toyota replaced both sides with new leaf packs, nuts, bolts, U clamp as a courtesy warranty repair. They said when Toyota informs them of the spring recalls they will notify me and I can bring truck in for the fix. Anyways with the new springs the back of the truck never sagged under the load. I average 22.5 mpg on the way down. Sure surprised me. At home around the city I averaged 15 /16 mpg.
