    Somebody call the freakin waaaambulence!

Seriously, am I the only one who's IN LOVE with my truck still? I mean holy shit! It's like, if your truck isn't PERFECT right from the factory and doesn't stay that way (despite your stupidity) Toyota is at fault or something.

For crying out loud, no manufacturer has EVER made a perfect vehicle in all of history....not one! And you know what? I think that with almost 15k on my clock, with not a problem to speak of, I'm feelin pretty damn good!

F**k what ya heard; I still think my Tacoma is bitchin and I smile every time I see it. I don't need the media to tell me otherwise.

We got a foot of snow here Thursday (yeah, in Dallas Tx) and I really had a good time in my Taco. I was laughing at every parked prius and hippy-mobile that couldn't drive that day.

    +1 to everything you said!

FWIW, we shelled out twice what I paid for my Tacoma on a BMW for my wife. The car is three months old and has already had three recalls and one problem that required it to be towed to the dealer. I don't see the media bashing BMW for these recalls.

Maybe Toyota will get a multi-million dollar bailout to boost the quality and awesomeness of their vehicles.

    ...afk masturbating to this thought.

edit - @ topic I love my little tacoma. Almost 50k on here and runs just fine.

I'm only pissed because this is the 2nd brand new car I have bought in the last year that has been complete fail. I guess calling the Tacoma situation a complete fail is somewhat premature, but we are now up to faulty floormats causing unintended acceleration, faulty pedals causing unintended acceleration (and with no real evidence that this is actually the causation I don't exactly feel safe bc the Tacoma was not recalled), defective rear suspensions (AAL required), and apparently now their is a problem with a driveshaft casting in new Tacomas. So yeah this is getting pretty irritating.

My previous experience was with an 09 Subaru WRX, which was definitely a complete fail. Defective engines produced for about 3 months; mine totally self destructed at 3800 miles! Subaru kept mum about the whole fiasco.

So yeah, in general, I am starting to get pissed off.

First, off, you have a couple of things you're misinformed about.

There were never any "faulty" floor mats. Only stupid people putting the wrong mats in the wrong car without the standard clips to keep them in the right place. Would Toyota be at fault if I filled my truck up with diesel?

Are you talking about the rear spring TSB when you say faulty rear suspension? I would hardly call it faulty. It works 100% fine. It just doesn't quite hold the payload that Toyota listed. If you actually load up the truck and need the increased payload go get the TSB done and quit your whining.

Do some research. Between 04 and 08 GM recalled over 7million vehicles! In 08 and 09 Ford recalled 14.1 million vehicles; the largest recall in history!

I love my truck, it's been one of the most reliable vehicles I've had so far. The other is my Honda Integra (JDM).

Since I bought my truck 3 years ago I had to replace ONE burned out tail light bulb. I had a suspension lift with rear AAL installed when the truck was new, so I guess I missed out on the bottoming out and axle wrap everyone speaks of.:notsure:
