Haha I don't have a MT Pro coming in. I have a White Automatic on its way now.

I was looking for cement for 6 months, didn’t want to pay 6k over Plus southeast toyota add on crap. I live in south east Florida, my parents live in MA, my dad spotted a white pro being delivered to a dealer a few miles from his hous, drove in behind it verified manual and available, I flew up next day and made a vacation out of it! Haha love the white over cement now.
I paid to have it shipped to Florida so it could be clear shielded before highway. 850 MA to FL shipping in height of snow bird season.

Oh I forgot, moral of the story, sticker was 42,xxx, dealer didn’t have it on their lot more than 24 hours, didn’t even take any wrapping off. I cleaned it up and checked fluids, etc.

Omg there it is! I'm so jealous!! I need to find a way to find out where these are going when they are made so I can try and contact the dealer before it gets there!

I found mine in less than 24 hours last December. Made the deposit over the phone. Flew out from Denver to Charleston over New Years and drove it home. I used Cars.com and Autotrader and spent the day calling dealerships. Found about ten total. Only one white one. Dealership gave it to me for MSRP. I felt lucky, especially after realizing how hard to get a manual was after the fact. I have put over 20K miles on it and it’s been from Carolina to Denver to Moab and now it’s in Alaska. I’ve towed with it extensively (reason for the manual) and I’ll probably keep it for at least 10 years. It’s worth the wait if need be.

Dang OP, wish you much luck!

You're post has made me feel super lucky. I didn't even put a deposit down. I just lucked out. I didn't want the moonroof on the OR, so the sales rep said "you know, I think we have a manual TRD Pro being built for the show room. That doesn't come with a sunroof"

I didn't know what a TRD Pro was at the time, so I didn't know to put down a deposit. I just asked her to call me when it came in. She did and I went in and bought it that day!

i bought mine about a year ago but it may be similar..

the idea to not get totally screwed is to plan way ahead. i put in an allocation request (some here call it an order) when the Pros were announced, and i put down $200 right then.

it took 5 months including a dealer swap to land the truck, which happened to be the first MT Pro delivered in Texas. like i said, plan ahead.

1 dealer offered a truck they didn't have (and wouldn't get) for MSRP + 5K. fucking robbers.

1 dealer offered a truck they didn't have, and wouldn't get for literally 8 months, for MSRP + 2K. totally untrustworthy.

but i am not crazy. i stuck to my original plan, waited, and got the first MT pro 5 months later (last December) for MSRP. it made sense to the dealer and salesman at that time. nowadays I'm not so sure what they'll do since there are many buyers like you with the same agenda.

maybe finding a used one will get you close to MSRP but the mass hysteria is on. so, from a sales POV, circumstances are against you and many want the same exact truck now. next round (4th gen?), plan way ahead.
