So this should be the OFFICIAL anything walmart thread, weather it be what obscene thing you saw there or which walmart you actually liked in your area. Which ones should people in your area avoid?
    ANYTHING GOES.

I don't get why people hate Walmart so much. I love it. Refill my meds for $4. Beef jerky/snacks are cheap. Good deal on booze. Plus the people watching is the best!

I don't necessarily dislike Walmart. In rural communities they have put a lot of mom and pop businesses out of business. But that can be said about a lot of corporations. But I have seen a lot of folks are starting to go back to buying local, so that helps keeping local businesses open.

I'm in the same boat as you, we have some large chain grocery stores around us and a super walmart, all of our groceries come from Walmart for a lot less then the other places. Plus I'm at the point in my life where I don't give a crap about what the label on my clothes say so I get clothes for cheap. A pair of shorts for $15 verses a pair of designer shorts for $60 that look like a homeless hippy shit his self and died in them

I live in a rural community and can't wait until Walmart opens up here. Mom and pop stores went away long before the big stores came into the picture. The few small shops only exist because of a good location or an in demand product not because there isn't a Walmart here. Walmart will bring entry level jobs that this area is desperately lacking.

Check out Walmarts "savings catcher" app if you've not already done so...

In the town near me, Oxford, Mississippi (pop ~ 18,000), our "downtown" is thriving. Of course the town has some decent built in ordinances and controls so it forced wally to build in an area that used to not be in town.

Walmart caters to a different group than those that are shopping on the square in Oxford for at least what the stores on the square sell anyway. I shop both at wally and on the square...& BTW I hate to shop.

Walmart built a small store near vcu. I think it is only about 4000 sq ft. I think walmart pays their employees really crappy and a lot of them don't have much of an education and it reflects in their attitudes towards customers. A lot of the customers aren't much better. I won't get into the shoppers having family reunions in the ho ho isles blocking the whole isle, not having enough decency to get out of the way.

I like Walmart for ammo and guns. My local gun shops lost my business when they tripled their prices during ammo and gun shortages.

Thank you WalMart for saving me over $100 over Discount Tires on these new, larger tires. Big improvement IMO.

Whats the estimated mileage on those? 30-35k?
Also the pic makes it look like your rear driver tire has some sidewall issues you might want to have looked at.

Did ya ever think that maybe in some parallel universe, these people have a website, and a specific thread that makes fun of us?
I do not enjoy going to Walmart, nor do I like going to Macy's, Nordstrom's, or Neiman-Marcus.

    They're not great, 50k warranty.

Yeah, I noticed that bump when I got them, but I didn't have time to get it looked at. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll have it looked at.

I would still have them replace it, unless that sidewall bulging is normal on every tire.. which i doubt.

I have never in my 20 years of driving had a tire do that unless it was failing.
