has anyone run a walker evans suspension on their tacoma, i had an old man emu on my 2003 tacoma and loved it. I am looking to put a lift kit on my 2009 tacoma double cab(kids come later). let me know if the walker evans is a real hard ride or if it is softer like the old man emu. i would like to go with walker evans, just have not been able to find any reviews.

It rides nice. Go for the remote reservoir shocks and you'll be able to adjust the dampening with the turn of a knob.

What kind of wheeling do you have in mind?

trails around 6-8 difficulty, mud holes, hauling dirtbikes, and river crossing's. Do you have this suspension on your rig. i want to go with the 3" lift w/ 285/75/16. i can not find cool black rims that are affordable.

I had that suspension and it'll work great for your needs. Stick with 2.5" of lift up front to protect your CV joints, and you should consider new upper control arms to help with alignment.

I bought the ProComp 7089s right around the time they came out and they were only $107 each. Quite a bit more these days.
