Those were my picks for episode 9 on 2/9/14. Everybody else forgot to play that week. There were no deaths. Last week I picked Jeanette,Molly,Luke and Tara for WC. I didn't get any points.

point for my second mistake and tricking oz.

 

Um, it didn't show her getting killed in the field by the zombies and she wasn't on the Talking Dead's memoriam...so we just have Tara saying that she was swarmed. But as we saw, Glenn was swarmed in the prison, too. Until it is official, we can't really count her as one of the pool deaths, can we?

 

We didn't see Lori get eaten , pretty sure she's dead though

 

Sometimes this show does a poor job of showing the final fate of minor characters. If a major character dies it is shown and there is no doubt about the characters fate. Take Luke and Molly for example. They may be alive. They may be dead. They may show up again or be proven to be dead or they may just move on without further explanation. Dr. Stevens from woodbury was a character who they never showed being killed or still being alive. She was a doctor so a pretty important character but what happened to her? Picking a minor character to die is gamble because they may well die but you will never be able to prove it because they were not important enough. Tara said Lily was swarmed. On Talking Dead one of the guests when talking about Tara said "here is a young woman who just lost her whole family" so I'm pretty sure she is dead but cannot be certain unless they address it in the future. They should put a list of confirmed dead on the AMC website.

 

Very true. But the main difference in the two is the fact that in Lori's case there was no alternative - she never would have survived the regardless. The sister, on the other hand, wasn't shown in a swarm of walkers or whatever, so there is a great chance that she is alive and kicking. No mention of her death on any of the forums and whatnot...

 

Maybe Jim is alive too

 

just for reference, we gave Shumpert points once he was confirmed dead although we didn't see his death...not exactly apples to apples as Tara didn't exactly say "Lilly is dead" but I think it's a fair assumption as she wouldn't leave her sister behind if she was alive.

Eliminating the wildcard was suggested but I don't believe it was confirmed by gooch who runs the contest so I continued to use it. I believe it should be eliminated and just have four picks counting 1 point each no matter the order.
As for Jeanette when Maggie Bob and Sasha cleared the bus it did not show her so there is no conclusive proof of her death. Wikpedia lists her as unknown but also state that AMC confirms she will return. For last weeks episode( Inmates) I picked Jeanette Molly and Luke. They list Luke as deceased and Molly as unknown. I picked Jeanette again this week because I thought it might show her as a walker near the bus to confirm her death but they didn't. Here is my proposal.

Start fresh at the begining of the season with the new rules. It just seems to make things complicated to change them with so few episodes left.

Jeanette insists that she is not sick and her allergies are only acting up, but Carol does not believe her, and makes her enter anyway. She is probably treated when Daryl's group returns with medicine. Jeanette is among the prison inhabitants who escape the prison on the bus when the Governor attacks the compound. As of the mid-season finale of Season 4, Jeanette is the only named Woodbury character who is confirmed alive. AMC and Robert Kirkman both stated Jeanette is alive and will reappear this season, as her character never developed. She was the older black woman standing at the front of the bus when Maggie bailed out. I believe she appeared in 3 or 4 episodes. She is also the only adult from the prison who is not with one of the groups and has not been confirmed dead. My theory is she got off the bus after Maggie and Glenn and saved Molly and Luke that is why she was not seen when they cleared the bus. Just a theory but if those two kids are alive she is the only known adult character they could be with.
