Hondo vent mount came in and the rest of the RAM mount stuff. I installed tonight but it was too dark for a picture. I'll try to get one tomorrow.

Also got in the rod holder I'll mod to fit the bed rails and then some more detail stuff including the carpet and upholstery cleaner and Chemical Guys microfiber towels. One set washed and ready to go.

For any curious on the air dam removal impact on mpgs, I averaged 23mpg on a recent 20mi trip. Not super far but enough to tell if there was a difference I feel and there wasn't one really.

I only bought the ram ball and Un-Holey vent mount from them. The arm is the RAM Double Socket Swivel and the phone part is the Ram X-Grip. I bought those from a member here. I liked the look of the Hondo one but I went the cheaper route due to budget.

I plan on keeping a running review/update on things that are going on with the truck:

I have recently been experiencing rough shifting when the engine is cold to cool. When coming to a stop the downshift from whatever gear to 1st is rough as well as sometimes when it shifts on the highway. The problem fixes itself when it warms up though. I took it in to be looked at and the tech rode along with me stating "there is something there but doesn't seem too out of normal, if it gets worse bring it back and I will submit it up the ladder". He stated there was no TSB for the 4cyl but one could be coming if more issues like this arise.

On a recent road trip I noticed it slams/jerks in the rear end sometimes when accelerating and shifting. It was pretty jarring and I am going to schedule to have it looked at.

There also is a droning noise when travelling 55-60 mph and letting off the accelerator. I'm going to have them look at that as well.

The rear bumper is misaligned. I notified the service advisor on my last visit but he recommended I take it to the next town over to the dealership since that one has in house body work techs versus the current dealership that outsources it. I will update with pics before I get it fixed.

Overall though I really have been loving this truck. The features are great coming from my previous car that was a small hatchback. I really like the way it handles and drives. The shifting issues mentioned above are not severe enough to deter from my enjoyment of the truck, they are just annoyances.

I will update as things progress but just wanted to document these for future reference.

    Edit:
    03/04/17
The slamming and jerking issues and the shifting issuss have all pretty much gone away somehow. It is shifting smooth and does not jerk to a stop. It did one day last week when the temps dropped so maybe it is a weather issue? I hasn't happened since and I will continue to monitor it.

Ordered the Redline hood struts from the GB and about to order the header bed rail.

I also cleaned out the garage so now I can park the Taco in there. Plenty of room even with the beaver step.

An action shot during the process of seeing if it would fit:

So got the truck back from the dealership. It was actually the most painless experience in dealing with dealerships. They confirmed every issue that I had and fixed them all.

Trans was low on fluid so they added it and checked that it drove without jerking into gear afterwards, performed the 5,000 mile service, and aligned the bumper. I showed up to swap from the loaner and was in and out in 5 minutes. Super pleased.

I drove it around town and on the freeway today and it didn't have any of the jerking issues from before.

This is after the other nearby dealership told me to go pound sand on all of the above. The other dealership even said they couldn't feel anything wrong with the transmission and said it was fine on fluid. Idiots.

Oh, I also ordered some T-slots for the fishing pole mount, new torx screws as I effed up a couple on the header rail, and a hitch bike rack. Will update when those arrive.

Installed the header rail today and detailed the inside of the truck. Still need to put the tonneau back on sometime but my wife was making biscuits and gravy for breakfast so I got distracted :D.
