BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Buy some strange Toyota Van or car (the older the better) over there then ship it Home.

If you're patient enough I'd wait just to see if any design changes for the 2013. It probably won't be anything drastic but a minor change might be enough to push you over the edge to get a 2013. Just my 2 cents. Thank you for your service BTW!

I believe the exchange does a car buying program for military members that are deployed, but I only heard about this while in guam (this was several years). also, when you come back stateside, USAA's car buying program saved me at least 4 grand on mine.

Wait for the 13's, who knows what they will be like, but you are so close. If they are the same then just got a 12 at a clear out discount.

I'm in Oki and I have my 2011 sitting back home at my parents house, hopefully my pop is taking care of it as good as I would. Anyways, what unit are you with? I'd suggest looking at USAA new car sales (if you're a member) I got my truck through that process and just because I was a member I got an extra $1000 rebate and all the incentives and rebates toyota and the dealership offered at the time.

Welcome from N.J. I was in Oki, '66-'68, with the Army 1st Air Defense Artillery. Barracks were just outside Kadena AFB. Site was on mountain inside ammo dump outside Kadena. Good luck and thank you for your service. :oldglory:

that's what they did with me. there wasn't a $1000 rebate when I bought mine, but my truck was priced at $24K (before tax, title, tag) through USAA. Add in my trade in (6k), cash down (1500), and the 500 military rebate brought everything said and done to a little over $19K. not bad for a truck that had a $30K sticker on it.

you can "build" a car almost like you would on the toyota website, once you are done they will give you a list of dealerships that they are affiliated with and will tell you what "extra" incintives you can get because you are a member. When I bought mine, the extra stuff I got from usaa was just an added bonus to whatever I negotiated with, with the dealer. THEY ONLY bad thing was is I had to go to a dealership about an hour and a half away to find one that was affiliated with USAA, so some of the things like free oil changes or inspections or whatever that was just local to that dealership I couldn't really take advantage of. I have the toyota care but that runs out eventually unlike the local dealer freebies ya know...

I'm MCAS Futenma, I did a few tours with the 31st MEU back in 05 and 06.
