want more power for my 2.7l.

    If you just have the turbo itself, no. It's a paperweight. Sell it on Ebay and get some cash.

    For a little more torque, get a LCE header. Good bang for the buck. It's equal length and helps at low RPM.

    To shift the powerband down altogether, regear. See below.

    Go to customtacos.com. Tons a good turbo builds that make awesome power. Turning is going to be easy on a I4 and if you know wtf your doing fairly "cheap". Not that any options are going to be

    Or I'd say get a 4.0 1uzfe Lexus v8 for cheap. Or 4.3l 3uzfe Lexus v8. I wouldn't really go for the 2uzfe in a 5 lug

    Next would be 2jz. But those are pretty pricey to find and mod.

    Not going to see much from intake and exhaust.

    Or check out URD supercharger kits for your motor. Work great too. Totally bolt on.

    If you're 21 and have shit credit I would worry more about fixing that than getting more torque out of a 4 cylinder truck mommy and daddy bought you.

    How would i regear my gear box, as I do not know as much about transmissions as I wish i did. I did not think they made superchargers for the 2.7l.

    That's good to know because I am more of a fan of superchargers, but thought I was just stuck with turbos.

    hit it right on the head. Have Toyota bolt it on for you and not have to worry about anything and get little power or pick up a wrench and install a turbo and you can make HUGE power

    Depends on what you use your truck for. Not all of us are looking for "HUGE" power, and with "HUGE" power comes turbo lag and lose of tq down low, something someone who uses their truck, as a truck wouldn't prefer.

    If you got a newer truck, go with the TRD Supercharger. You keep your warranty, and with just a couple upgrades like a pulley, full exhaust etc, should be in the 350/400 range easy with a fat torque curve.

    Sir why do diesels use turbos? they use there trucks, like my companies trucks haul 23,000 pounds daily. no superchargers on anything that hauls loads. i see them on dragsters were it is huge power rather than low end torque.

    and you will never lose power with a turbo. unlike a turbo a supercharger takes power to make power. Dont have to worry about turbo lag either most modern kits and most modern turbo vehicles dont have turbo lag like they used to.

    My upper is built with cams from LC with an LC full header back exhaust including their headers. Now I have a little low end TQ like stock maybe a little more but up high is were it likes it. If you want to feel cheap power just gear it.

    Supplying air to the combustion chamber at greater than atmospheric pressure is called supercharging.

    Supercharging is accomplished with a device called a blower.

    There are two main types of blowers in use today;
    1. The gear driven, positive displacement roots type blower found on two stroke diesel engines, adapted by hot-rodders for automotive use.
    2. The belt or exhaust gas driven, non-positive displacement centrifugal blower (referred to as a turbocharger) also used on diesel engines is the type more commonly found on street legal cars & light trucks.

    Both types of blowers only supply air. To make more usable HP & torque you need a larger fuel delivery system, hotter spark and a more efficient exhaust system to go with that extra air.

    How much more usable power can the 2.7L 2TR-FE make?

    Huh? Way to take my response out of context. I was responding to Blake who was talking about making HUGE power. Show me a turbo that will have no lag and make HUGE power. You're dreaming. HUGE power isn't 400whp, it's more like 800whp.

    Also ,you're the guy who said turbos don't increase torque, just HP, meaning you've lost all credibility a while ago LOL.
