Want radio screen on startup

Is there a way to get your Radio Screen to show when you start the vehicle rather than the Home Screen?
As soon as I startup I am pushing the Audio button or touching the screen for the radio and to change channels.

Does it not stay on that screen if you leave it there, turn off the truck and turn it back on? Just defaults back to the home screen?

Yes. Always goes back to home screen and then i have to push or touch the audio side to see my presets.

 

The short answer is: No. You cannot get it to default to the radio or any other screen. Toyota defaults it the "home" screen. Many have tried to change it, none have succeeded.

To circumvent this (kind of), I have my home screen split into three screens: Nav, Weather on the right and radio (USB, actually) on the left. Try that to remedy your issue.

 

Interested in the answer to this as well. Wife's RAV has the "return to home screen" option which can be turned off but the Tacoma doesn't

Yes, it would. But your radio screen would be viewable right away. I don't need to see my radio/usb screen in full screen, so I'm okay with having it squished to one side. Hey, you can't get exactly what you want, so this is the compromise you may have to make.

Wrong. You cannot change it. It will always default to the home screen. Just edit what shows up on your home screen. That's the best work around solution.

 

Must be on the newer radios. My '16 has the radio(Premium non JBL) set as the home screen. If I'm on the phone when I turn off the truck. The next time I start it, it goes to the dual screen. But that's the only time it does.

 

Is there a reason why you want the radio full screen instead of seeing it on only half or a quarter of the screen?

 

This is right up there with the radio button on the wheel orientation bitch. If we have an issue with poking your finger on a touch screen than we truly are ready for the robot revolution.

 

Presets right there is very nice. That's why I'd want it.

 

I tried to do the same thing man and it won't change from defaulting to home on start up. The radio presets is the only screen I use so it would be nice to have it pop up on it's own.

Same here. I rarely use the other features so it would be nice to have the presets screen come on. Granted, its ONLY one touch to get to that screen, but in today's world, why do I have to touch it one more time than I have too.
Well.......There is that whole thing of touching it one too many times and going blind.
