Ok Ive been doing some research and I am alittle unsure and I need some info.

I might be picking up a 99 Tacoma TRD Off Road 4X4 V6 Extended Cab.
The previous owner replaced all of the factory Bilsteins with Monroe OE Spectrums. So first thing I want to do is get the Monroes off and replace them with factory Bilsteins. Heres where I start getting confused. I dont know if the part numbers for the Bilsteins are for the TRD Off Road. Ive read that the replacement shock that Bilstein makes are valved diffrently than the stock Bilsteins Toyota shocks. Is this correct?

Or, should I just upgrade to the 5100/5125 set up from Down South to replace the factory shocks that will let me keep stock height?

    replace them with the 5100s.

after riding in a truck with the blue/yellow bilstein HDs, then mine with 5100s...

    the ride is much better

So can I run the 5100s all around or 5100s up front and 5125s in the rear?

Yeah I know this has probably been asked so many times already.

before you order the shock, give DSM a call; theyll let you know what you can/cant fit according to your needs. They've helped tons of our members here before
