Want to have phone maps turn-by-turn while listening to FM Radio

I just got a 2018 Tacoma with Tech Package and am learning to use the head unit with my phone. I don't listen to music on my phone, but want to use it for maps (since the Entune maps is not great compared to Google Maps).

I want to plug my iPhone X into USB and mount it to use for Maps. But, as far as I can tell, you can only get the phone audio (turn by turn directions), by switching the source to the USB Audio. Is it possible to listen to the FM source and have the direction audio cut in like it does when using the built in navigation?

If not, then how are you guys handling music, etc? Do you connect the phone and just use streaming music to keep everything from the same audio source? Do you just listen to FM or XM without hearing the phone?

    Is this possible?

No can do. Have to consolidate your source to get both at the same time. Music and maps from headunit. Music and maps from phone. Can't mix and match.

I think you need to stream your FM stations from a phone app. That way both audio sources come from your phone, and might be able to place nice with each other.
