Want to linex Fender flares, rocker panels. Color match or black??

Hey guys, My fender flares are loosing their clear coat and are starting to look really bad, I want to either color match or black out my bumpers, so I figured it's be a good opportunity to get it done in one shot. The plan is to Line-x the flares, rocker panels and front and rear bumpers, the question is do I go all black, color match, or combo?? Please let me know what you think, and if you suggest a combo, please be specific. any other recommendations on how to make the truck look better would be appreciated! I already have Bilstien 5100's on the way.

Quote as of now is $425 black, $525 color matched.

I added a few photo shops i did of a couple different options, also removed decal. Also added a nice front bumper of a Tundra. let me know what you guys think.

 

Blacked would be pretty unique, not sure if it would be good or bad though, haha

 

I vote black because im getting ready to do the same thing all the way around the bottom of mine and my sliders...& i think it'd look good on that red/burgandy! just my .02

 

I would do everything black but I really don't like color matched bedliner either. It would also go well with the black wheels

 

Black flares would look just fine. Not so sure about the rockers though...

 

The black would look good on your truck(love the color wish i couldve gotten it)

I dont know that Ive ever seen color matched bedliner that looked good.

I really like the color-matched front bumper, and wish mine was. However, I completely prefer black fender flares over the color-matched, so I'd do a combo (though I voted black). I guess it's like the Trail Edition or whatever.

 

well i will tell you this has been my plan for about year now on my truck. im either gonig to do the flares and rockers in black up to the crease in the door, or i am condisdering doing the whole truck in a 2 tone. rockers and flares in black and the top of the truck the super white

 

Can you color match line-x? But I got an mom and im thinking of doing all around mine but my quote was around 1200 dollars

 

get someone on here to photoshop it.. hard to say how it'd look. i like the all black but a combo could look good.

 

color match or sand down some and spray on bed liner yourself with the rustoleum.

All black. Not really a fan of the combo thing you did with the front either, I'd just do the fenders and rockers, not the whole front bumper.

 

Pugga, what combo thing are you talking about. That is the factory grill.

 

I thought you were thinking about doing a red/black combo on a Tacoma like in this picture.

I don't like black (and hate chrome), so I would say either color match or combination (a little black is okay, but don't overdo it). From the poll and the above responses I can see that I am in the minority, but that's just my opinion.
I wanted to break up the monotonousness (how's that for a word!) of my silver so I added magnetic gray because I did not think black would look good. In hindsight I should have used a dark gray instead of the charcoal magnetic gray, because it is still too dark.

 

Have you done anything? I am interested in doing the rockers and fenders as well.

 

it would be sweet if our front bumpers were like the Tundras. imo it would look crappy if you did that to a taco front bumper
