I have been thinking about moving to California one of these days.:)
It seems like there is a lot of good wheeling down there plus all the huge events that go around! Sounds like there are a lot of friendly people down that way. Being in the tacoma world I have met a bunch of people on TW, I got some really good deals on parts, I also git to know some people who work in the off road shops. California has all the top of the line race shops like Icon, Camburg, TC, Engage, etc...
I just got off the phone with Scott at Icon about ordering a set of decals for my truck. I originally spoke with Jeremy at Icon awhile ago asking about some decals. Somehow those decals were never shipped to my house... I thought well their probably extremely busy and they forgot about me. lol It's all good!:) Called back later and Jeremy said he wasn't going to charge me for the decals. I was like Sweet! Guess what those decals never shipped. lol Called again to see where the decals I ordered went to... If I lived closer I cold just pick the decals up myself.
Anyways, it seems like there is a lot of good people at these shops and they are always trying to help people out who are interested in their products. :)

Great all we need is more people.

Just kidding, its honestly a great place to live and the desert is a great place to spend the weekend. Or just hang at the beach all day. Its 71 degrees in San Clemente now and sunny. Not a bad place at all.

I wouldn't ONLY move out there for those reason. I have family out there and I want to get away from Oregon. I have lived in Oregon for friggen 18+ years and I want to get away!

EDIT: I know cali is really expensive to live there, especially in San Diego. That is where I want to live.=)

its not my cup of tea but prices in the 909 and 951 are not that bad, hell a 4 bed room just came on the market here in San Clemente for $400,000 not cheep by any means but not that bad for the area. We got a nice condo 9 years ago for $189,000. That said I am sure its much cheeper in other locations but I could care less what the prices are in Texas, very limited ocean views. But thats just me, I am sure Texas is awesome but just not for me. But yeah make sure you cruse down for a week and check it out and than make your decision. Its not for everyone thats for sure.

I would love being that close to everything. I just cannot get myself to move there just because of politics, laws, and how damn expensive it is out there.

If you like the outdoors socal has 20% of the OHV areas and 80% of the people, Norcal has 20% of the people and 80% of the OHV areas. One of the reasons I like it up here. Though socal does have more mild weather.

Shoot I was just there yesterday and like 77 degrees in Carlsbad.

i'd stay there in oregon. california has too many unnecessary rules and laws. if you own firearms you'll probably have to sell the majority of your collection, you'll have to look for your front license plates, scrape off the tint that's on your vehicle, etc... just little shit like that. people are too scared of their own shadows here in ca. as everyone stated above i hope you can come up with a minimum of $950 a month for an okay place to rent or a minimum of $1200 a month to rent a house, unless you're looking to buy then a minimum of $500,000 for a tiny house that's not in the middle of no where or ghetto.

i'd suggest since you're in oregon move to the border of oregon and california, but stay on the oregon side, so you can visit at any given time.

I don't have a problem with housing being so expensive. I know there are ways around it.:)

When I think California, I think beautiful weather, beautiful woman, beautiful beaches, beautiful cities, and beautiful everything. lol
It won't be for awhile until I move down anyways. Haha...
