Already have 265/70/17’s and 5100’s set at highest with spidertraxx 1.25” wheel spacers and rub slightly.
I want to know what do I have to do, or what did you all have to do to fit 285’s.
I always hear, you should be able to fit 285’s already so please help me out with any tips or tricks.

    Also and old member...
@1tacoplease was my original but no longer have access to old email but same person and same truck!

What wheels? Where are you rubbing? 265 shouldn't be rubbing with the billies. Mine don't. To go 285 you might need a 1\2 inch too plate and maybe loose spacers. But they'll still likely rub. Maybe a cab mount chop and remove mud flaps of you hadn't already.

    BFG Rugged Terrain.
It definitely rubs and I’m not running an aggressive tire.
I rub near the fog light at full lock. So pretty much whenever I back out of parking.
Already removed my front mud flaps.
    Don’t mind removing wheel spaers.
But also not comfortable hearing they should fit when my 265’s rub.

Weird. I have 265\75\16 duratracts on stock wheels. Billies all the way up on stock springs. Zero rubbing anywhere. But I have a move front bumper. Is that where your rubbing? My thoughts with the spacers are that you might have them pushed out to far causing the rubbing out at the corners. But if you put 285 in stock wheels you'll probably need them to keep from rubbing the uca.

    You’re exactly right, that’s where I rub.
I’m even considering removing the spacers and going 275/70/17 with an aggressive tire but I do like how far my wheels stick out currently, I just want it a bit wider and taller.

I have 275 70 R17 KO2. Good tire but I want to size up. 285 70 R17 are available in a lighter C or D rating from most manufacturers than the E-rated-only options for the 275. Going to 285 will net me a bigger tire that's lighter to boot. I'm sure as soon as I've made room for 285's and spent a grip of cash, I'll want to go 35's though! Seems the right tire is what you're currently running n+1 (the next size up). Lol.
