Want to replace my 265x65x17 with bfg 285x70x17

    3 in lift
    I have a 2013 trd sport 4x4 and i hate the stock look want to change the265x65x17 with 285x70x17 and want change wheels also with a tough looking deep dish alloy wheels and a lift .? How much lift do i need and what kind is good i dont do alot of 4 wheeling just eant to look good and dont want it were i have to do alot of changing of other suspention stuff

    Have you looked into everything related to 285s? They will rub. To do it right you will have to be doing some chopping/hammering/welding to fit them properly. Chop your cab mount. Hammering the pinch welds. Welding the cab mount box. I wouldn't be doing it myself if you don't wheel it. A 2-2.5" lift and 265/75/R16 or 265/70R17 (1"+ over stock) will look great and have zero headaches compared to a larger tire, not to mention won't suffer from the significant power and mpg losses, especially if you stick to a P or C-load tire. You'll also save $400+ on UCAs trying to get a higher lift for the 285s.
