the med reasons were from my wife buying a new mazda3 which should be listed as it's sistercar is as one of the most initially toxic cars on the planet.
the med probs were my wifes and it was 4mos of hell.
she couldn't get in the car without feeling like needles were being pushed into her eyes.
and there were more symtoms all equally unpleasant.
the only solution offered was to drive it to death valley and pay somone to open the windows every morning to try to cook out the toxins.
we had to bag up all her clothes with synthetics and dark dyes in them and she spent two months walking around in old light colored cotton clothes.
after we sold the mazda3 and did more things she was able to wear dark clothes/and some synthetics like motorcycle helmets and safety gear.
and know she can spend more than 5min in my truck without breaking out in hives.
so while trading it for a 2012 trd access cab is now doable i would prefer a gen 1 to be on the safe side

Park it and run an ozone machine in it for a few weeks.

Your problem is unusual but common enough. And you aren't likely to fix it by trading for a different set of allergen problems.

Situations identical to yours are widely covered online if you feel like searching.

we checked all over the internet and could not find stuff that really hit her symtoms
we did check everything ozone machines being one of them
the science was kinda all over the place on those as were the type available very confusing.
selling the car and losing the payment on a vehicle you can't drive has worked for us.
we bought a 30 year old merc diesel and she can wear black again and is happy with that.

    Don't waste your money on trading right now, a turbo model is suppose to be coming to the states in 2014/15. I think it will be just an updated version of the Toyota Hilux engine used other parts of the world. I am praying we get the engine used in this truck or better see link;

    http://youtu.be/AAcXtjos6CM

now with this engine we can upgrade turbo and such.....very nice...and guess what the hood scoop actually as a purpose:D

a turbo diesel would be nice .... hah hah
i did not buy the truck to go 4wheelin i got it to never ever get stuck while camping
i did not realize how limiting the 5ft bed was until i went to 4wheel campers and was shown one option.
i have not talked to dealers yet because i figured they would try to screw me.
i am looking at a sport rack from these guyshttp://www.rackitinc.com/headache/sport.html in a 4100 and using some of my stage hand skil to make a wood rack that assembles quickly and goes out to 6" with a hieght of 3.5" to 4" as i already haves riderites i dont think weight will be an issue as i hav an extra set of d-ring to instal in front and the top bar on the 4100.
i think it'll give me some extra hualing capacity i am misiing in the 5"
if a dealer doesnt try to screw me i'd go for a trd access but i doubt that
i'm kinda counting on you guy's popping out extra kids and needing the doublecab

i've got the first two weeks of august off maineites
the old 4cyl 5spd had enough speed for me
i lanesplit the bay bridge every morning on various moto's for years now
and ride twisty asphalt and fire trail and ugly singletrack
after motorcycles all cars seem limited unless your on a track
    and 4wheelin gets expensive quick
not to offend just how i go

love my 4cyl 5 speed to death... but sometimes i really wish i had the 6cyl to pull all my bikes easier. i would keep the truck you have

i kind of agree surfkid i just want that 6ft bed
we go the c/cab for dogs that did not outlast the truck so an access would be better
    a couple 2strokes and my 520 weigh maybe 740
now a gen 1 v6 5spd manual at normal height would be great
