    It's been a lean year here in the West. There's no way I should be able to get a truck to this area in February. The snow should be well over head high and soft, not less than 4 feet deep with a crust you can (sort of) drive on. This pic is over 13 miles in around 1 pm when the crust softened up and we started punching through.

    Truck was parked two hours ago and already has that much snow on it. Up to a foot in some spots, other spots only have like five inches of snow. Guess who is still going to work even though everything around here is shut down?

    Had to check out this thread to get my snow fix....basically no snow pack in Nor Cal! The news is getting excited about a couple of inches (maybe) in the high country tonight. Stopped at the Echo Summit Snow Park on the way home from Death Valley about a week ago and there was maybe 6 inches and we were above 7k feet! Normally there would be many many feet of snow here.
