(WANTED) Your 2020/21 Toyota Tacoma Entune Head-unit

I had a nice Pioneer NEX4200 in the 2nd Gen with the Maestro controller. That is my only issue with upgrading to an afermarket HU. It would annoy me to no end if the center dash screen lost functionality, regardless if those functions moved to the HU screen.

 

Was there only one Co. making the harness adapters for the Entune 3.0 , and it was prohibitively expensive or they only sold it wih their 3.0 HU?

 

I have a non-jbl unit out of a 2020.
(Apple CarPlay/Android Auto)
I had the custom harness built including the gps adapter. so it is literally plug and play with the 3rd gens.
I installed it in my 2017 TRD OffRoad.
Works perfectly!
I am only selling because I traded the truck in and kept the head unit.

A few guys in the thread have used it and it clips into the factory mic location perfectly and sounds just as good if not better.

 

I have one from a Sienna that I got off ebay. Decided to go another route. $250+ shipping.

 

Is the one off the Sienna plug and play for 16-19? models?

 

It is not - you will need a harness from Auto Harness House.

 

This fits in a tacoma?

This will only work with Tacos that had a JBL system?

 

I am not sure.

 

JBL is not the same as premium. They are not interchangeable due to JBL amplifier strategy.

New JBL / OLD JBL may be cross compatible, as the premiums are (harness requirement), but I make no guarantees. I recommend contacting harness makers.

 

dang. i threw away a 2017 and 2020 tacoma headunit. upgraded to a kenwood dmx1057xr. mayjah upgrade. shoulda sold it, too late now lol

I’m looking for a 2020-21 JBL one. One from a Tacoma. Not the one above. That one has a CD player. The new Tacoma’s DONT have the CD player.
