I just can't believe that plastic thing would have a 2 mpg impact either way. These trucks have the aerodynamic profile of a brick.

Buck Henry, I have driven my wife's Sport with same V6 at same speeds ..it gets about 1.2 to almost 1.5 more miles per gallon when compared to my OR.

Wouldn't even bother with it if gas wasn't $4.45 per gallon for regular.

Rumours are that it'll be close to $5.00 by 1st of July

You could run 245 p series tires and listen to classical music and get 5mpg better as well.. or build some fender covers and a long tail.. go full hypermile if you like.

I made sure they were not. I’ve made that mistake in the past buying K02’s. Great tires, look great, on light duty trucks the ride way too rough for ME.(10 ply)

It ends when people stop buying gas.

Capitalism is pretty simple. Of no one buys it, it's too expensive. If people still buy it, it's fine.

The spoiler makes the same amount of functional difference as the hood scoop on my Sport.
Some folks, including some on this very forum, feel not unlike the hood scoop, the front spoiler too, is an aesthetically pleasing addition to their "truck"
This and only this, is the reason for it's existence.

sheeeesh!! I thought people took off the chinstrap because it looks like shit. Not because of insecurities and making me less of a "Tacoma man".
    Keep on cucking

Put your wife's chin spoiler on your truck and hold all variables equal, and give yourself a real apples to apples comparison to see how much it matters for your truck specifically. You may actually benefit from the spoiler for mpg for some reason despite others not being affected. In any case comparing one truck vs another isn't a very scientific test.

Also there are probably numerous people ready and thrilled to give you their 3rd gen chin spoiler for free, myself included. You haven't shared your location though. Unless you want to pay someone to ship one of these unwieldy things on your dime you need to give us the information we need to give you one. If you want to come pick mine up in central Mississippi it's yours.

That's because Costco is dope. Everywhere else it's around $5
