At the insistence of my daughter, I want to install one or two kill switches on my 2023 DCSB TRD Off Road Auto. (She is probably right.) I did a forum search and didn't find anything I really liked. There's a circa $100 kit that would do the job, but it replaces the starter relay with something really obvious.

What I want to do in cut into a low amp the starter wire and run that to a switch hidden inside. That low amp starter wire can be ahead of or behind the relay. It's possible to install two switches in series, just to make it a little more difficult to puzzle out.

Alternately, I would be willing to cut into the fuel pump circuit and run that to a switch. But my forum reading indicates that there may be some possible issues.

Has anyone done any of these?

I've done this before. My Dodge diesel has two kill switches, one on the starter and one on the circuit that turns on the fuel solenoid. A matter for the Tacoma is figuring out which wires to cut into.

I saw both the quote and the product. That's the product that I am trying to avoid. Not saying it isn't good, just that it shows inside the relay box that something has changed. I'm looking for a hard wire solution. But thank you.

It seems the 41.22 $100 kit is if you don't want to cut wires. You could look at the relay they are intercepting and cut the wires to the relay and add a switch in the cab.
