    Hey guys,

Long story short, I got a winch from a member on here as a fixer-upper project, but I've gotten to the point where I just don't have the time nor desire to continue with it, as I've decided to go another direction with the truck.

    What I've done so far:
-Tested motor via bypassing the control box: worked both directions at that time
-Started rebuild of the control box: two brand new solenoids were installed not even a week ago, started cleaning the connections, and started replacing broken terminals
-Started to try and untangle/unspool the steel line that's on it
-Started general cleanup of the unit
-Replaced some of the small missing hardware
-Replaced main power cable with brand new 2-gauge wire.

    Winch.jpg

Things I had planned to do but didn't get to:
-Remote (my plan was to get a $10 wireless remote, but the wired connections do work, tested with a friend's OEM Warn remote, if you want to go with a wired one)
    -New hook
-Possibly one or two new solenoids
-Possibly new line (I didn't have enough time nor will to try and finish unspooling the current line)
    -New mounting bolts

Not trying to make any real money off of this, just trying to get what I've put into it so far. If you've worked with rebuilding winches or are even a semi-DIY sorta guy, this may be a fun little project for you. My off-road buddies tell me Warns are the easiest to rebuild. Of course, as with all used parts, this is being sold AS-IS. I believe this particular winch normally sells for around $600, so if you've got the time and patience, this could be a great deal for you.

TL;DR: Don't have time to finish this project, want to pass it on to someone else for what I've got invested in it so far.

    Asking $100 for everything pictured.

Also interested in trading for other similar value parts, especially OEM "upgrade" wheels such as TSS, T-Force, Tundra split spoke, Baja wheels (not the beadlock ones), 5-spoke FJ wheels, etc etc. Also would be interested in bolt-on slider-style steps. Feel free to make any trade offers, as I'll consider any reasonable offers.

Because the thing is heavy, local sale/trade only. Located in Tuscaloosa, AL.

@Urineovrurhead Might be a cool project if OP is willing to ship. I know your bumper needs a winch!

I'd be interested if you'd wanna ship it. And shipping it wasn't an arm and a leg. Otherwise GLWS

Very heavily leaning towards a local sale just because the thing is like 70 lbs (according to Warn's website, haven't actually weighed it), but shoot me a PM with your ZIP and I'll get an online estimate and let you know/consider shipping.

Does Fedex or UPS have flat rate boxes that big? I never ship via them unless it's a prepaid corporate thing just because USPS is so much cheaper. But apparently they have a weight limit of 70 lbs, which this thing will likely exceed once it's all buttoned up.

If I shipped it that is.

Not sure how big the biggest is, but you might be able to break it down and put it in two boxes

From my quick googling, FedEx's largest box won't fit the main housing, and I didn't find any from UPS, though I'm not afraid to admit I could've just missed it.

    Lifted, Armored, needs more lights.
Get that cable off it and I bet it cuts 50% of weight.

Got any pics of the inside of the solenoid housing? Is it totally effed or is it just a bit dirty? I've been curious about your winch for a while but I'd like to know what the repair might entail. I'd have to request shipping to 15207. I could pay for shipping and some money for your time removing the cable to lighten the load. I'd like to run a synthetic rope anyway.

The solenoid box itself is just dirty from what I can tell. Appears to just be the two bad solenoids that need replacing. Currently I'm supposed to meet a local on Saturday morning, but if that falls through I will update this thread with the requested pictures.

There is one guy ahead of you if I ship though.

Yeah, I'd be down for that, depending where of course. If the deal on Saturday falls through, we'll talk.
