Awesome, thanks for the reply. I was sold on a full bumper replacement but the affordability of this set up is very appealing.

Seems there's some innate resistance of the interweb to answering this question. I guess nobody's really sure at the moment. Would love to know myself. Would pull the trigger if the answe is no.

If you were to cut the bumper piece off completely instead of leaving it hanging below the metal part, does that remove all of the clips that the plastic underbite piece that you remove to install the bumper use to mount?

Where I am going with this is wondering if you removed the bumper later could you still go back to stock by refitting the trim piece or would it just flap in the breeze? With a silver bumper that hanging down piece would be rather visible on my truck. I suppose a can of Plasti-dip or bumper coater would make it disappear and then be hidden in the future anyways, but I'm just curious.

This piece is on my future plan list but I'm doing my research.

Did my install today with a Smittybuilt 9000/ synthetic rope. The bumper went in easily. Winch and bumper took 3 hours with 2 people. I'll try to answer some of the questions.

Does it contact the stock plastic bumper? Yes... on both sides. Nothing moves though, so not a concern for me.

Does it stick out? Just enough for the hoop to fit.

    Does it hang low? No

Did the suspension sag? Not that I can tell. I have 6110s.

Did I have to cut any thing? To put on the under support brackets, I had to dremmel a rectangle in the underside of each side of the plastic bumper. Its way under so not really visible. The clip that holds up the bottom center plastic holds it up in the center. I do not like how that looks. I'm going to cut the center piece under the bumper out. Its pretty insignificant.

How bad is the winch to get in? Piece of cake.

How do you operate the winch? I set it up to reach in under the hood behind the grill. There is plenty of room. I put the control pack on the winch motor laying down. I also think it would fit on top of the center part of the winch laying down. There is plenty of cable to reach the battery.

I will get plenty of good pics tomorrow. I have 1 on my phone I will post in a sec.

Mine came today. Kinda bummed it was packed not so well and got a bunch of scratches from rubbing on the boxes staples. Looks good other than that.

Anyone mount one w/o a winch? I really like the look, but won't ever use a winch. I have an off road and that back plastic piece doesn't fit well and leaves a gap, which is why I want to upgrade. Maybe a winch in the future, but not right away.

I think I'm also going to cut and bend some thin sheet aluminum that screws into the tag holes and bends to smoothly cover the whole winch fair lead and opening.

Just blow $75 on a fairlead and another $10 at your local outdoor store for 10 feet of synthetic rope; put a clip on it and hook it to the new D rings you bought too. Tie off the tail end somewhere behind the fairlead. :) Problem solved... and looking mighty sharp at that.

I wish it were a bit lower, would settle the issue of TSS impairment or not.

I like it higher because I have a 30" led bar below the grill and this looks like the only one that won't block it.

After sitting over night and driving some today, it has settled in some up front. I have 6112s set at 5/6 and I do notice more rake than it had before the winch and bumper install .

I believe they commented that they had no plans as of now to change the design. But it’s worth a try!

    Better answers to some questions.

Room for light bar inside. Depends on the winch. With the Smittybuilt... yes.

    20180225_141143.jpg

Does it stick out much? Just enough for some light mounting.

    20180225_141132.jpg

Does it decrease ground clearance? No lower than the chin was.

    20180225_141219.jpg

I mentioned a few posts ago that it settled the front suspension. To be clear, it is only VERY slightly.

I did cut off the plastic that was curving under the bumper. I like it much better this way. Blurry tablet pic.... sorry
