I have searched and searched and can't find a thread on wiring a warn winch up. I am looking for info on a front bumper mounted winch setup with under the hood wiring of the solenoid. Any help or links would be appreciated.

I'll try to post a couple pics later of my M8000 and Elite Bumper install. Was a breeze and came out great.

I run an m8000 as well nd it was some tricky wiring on a first gen with all poo bumper.
Are you looking for factory wiring?

Real simple, you will just need to extend some 2 gauge wires and come up with a mounting bracket.

Mine is mounted between the rad support and the grill. No room under the hood on the 2012+ thanks to the smog pump

I am just looking to see different ways of wiring these up. Weighing my options on the direction I want to take.

    What haven’t I changed?
Wiring a winch solenoid is pretty easy. If you want to relocate the solenoid to the engine bay, there are three 2-gauge wires (labeled A, F1, and F2) that go from the solenoid to the winch, and a thin 14-gauge wire that goes to the motor ground post on the winch motor that you will need to extend or replace. The solenoid power wire to the battery should already be long enough to reach the positive terminal on your battery (at least it was on mine, you can see it in the pic below). I replaced the A, F1, and F2 wires with 7 ft. 2-gauge 600V welding wire but 6 ft. would have been plenty. I had to coil the excess and zip tie it out of the way when I did my install.

My solenoid on the passenger side in my 12. Just took a little creativity to make a bracket out of some angle iron. Longer leads like everyone said.
