A real/legit. Co. Would have their customs broker clear the goods. Then you pay the broker. Not having a broker is like not having a lawyer going into court. Mark of a true "fly by nighter" for sure.

I totally agree, but trust me this sort of thing has happened in the past a few times on here with overseas goods and companies trying to make a quick buck where they think no one else can. It’s crazy.

So, what Nathan is saying is that he's ripping you off because he was ripped off.

That is a perfectly good reason to engage in shell game business practices and is a perfectly sound reason to be dishonest... I think.

    Should I order a tent?

    ............................................

    EDIT:

But seriously, I almost ordered a tent in the fall/winter of 2016 or early 2017. He asked me to pay 20% up front and they would be in stock in about a month. I said, "Uuuuh.... NO!!! If the tents are already on their way, I'll buy one when they get here." He had just closed his Barrie shop and I smelled something fishy. He said that he was consolidating his business at home to save money. I could sense that he was scratching for cash. If he didn't have operating capital, then why should I give him money up front? I'm sure glad that I didn't.

I don’t know if the games started before or after this event. Your lucky you saw the signs. I’m hoping everyone gets their money back.

It looks like he’s wheeling lots and installing piles of new gadgets on his truck. I doubt giving you your money back is even on his radar.

I think that small claims court is the way to go at this point. Get a ruling and put liens on everything that he owns.

Why doesn't everyone just hammer his FB page with money/refund/item requests?

    Like:

Hey, where's my product that I ordered in March of 2016?

Where's my refund for undelivered product?

Where's my tent that I ordered last year?

Hey, how many people have you ripped off?

Where are my Treds? Wait... you're not a registered TRED dealer, so why did you take my money?

How many people do you owe money to?

... and just keep doing it.

I’m just looking at their FB page. Looks like he been posting pics from a couple of trips and a few switch/light installs last year. I’m sure he used someone’s cash to make those things happen.

I went over there too. Looks like he's trying to make himself 'current' and looking legit using dated pics. The white Taco is gone out west, as it was sold in 2016. I remember seeing it on kijiji and I believe that it belonged to a guy named Carl, or something like that, who let him use it for promotional purposes. I tried to buy the roof racks off of it, but he had sold it and was about to deliver it from Ontario to Manitoba or Alberta.

    Shhhhmooooke shoooowwww....

I believe that truck had the prisnu rack which started the core rack production.

Regardless, Im hoping people get their money back, or if they venture to do business with him, ensure they receive a product or ask for their money back sooner than later.

Hello Tacoma World, new member here. I usually don't really post on forums, just read and research stuff, which is why I'm now asking for info or help. I bought a 2011 Double Cab TRD Tacoma about over a year ago and love it. I wanted to do some mods, or upgrades to it and found a few Kijiji ads on parts, Ikon shocks specific. I contacted the guy on the ad, got his number and called him up. This was Core Outfitters in Stayner ON, guy was Nate. Spoke to him 3 times over a period of 4 days, said he could order me up a level 1 Ikon suspension, with upper control arms, told me 2-3 weeks max to get them in since it was during the holidays. I checked out the business to make it was legal, it was, found his Facebook page, all seemed good. I ended up paying him 2 payments on Jan 2, and Jan 3, 2018 of a total of $3163.98 for Ikon front coilovers and rear shocks with Ikon upper control arms. He sent me a proper invoice, replied to all the texts very quickly. Fast forward to Jan13, 2018 I asked for a tracking number to follow parts, told me he was out of town would get back to me on Monday.....nothing from him. I texted him yesterday, said he would get back to me in the afternoon.....nothing again. I texted him today twice......no reply. I googled his company and read past the first page and found this topic to my surprise. I have this bad empty feeling, red flags going off, I'm really trying to stay positive that he will come through with his part of the deal. I would like to know if anyone got refunded during the first week on January 2018? did my money really get parts ordered or refunded to another customer. Thanks in advance.

cause the mods defend him lol.
    yep basically
I left the group. What type of tacoma group can it be when the mods are basically helping to not have it out there that Core is a piece of shit? Not one I care to deal with.
Get your money back. Tell him you no longer want the stuff. When he gives you it back tell him he's a cunt, and call Ski at CT Motorsport. You'll get your parts and be able to deal with a great shop.

OH and, he's actually legit. Bought all my fox suspension from him and some ARB stuff, had a bunch of Icon in the shop when I was there today picking up some more stuff.

Sorry to hear man. Honestly I hope he has your shit. Unfortenely i have had to legally threaten to get my money back. Others have had similar experiences as well. Best thing would be to contact him. Make sure you do it quick as I don’t even no how far in the hole he is. Please keep us posted. A lot of us were in your shoes.

I can second ct Motorsports. Awesome guy. Actually orders your stuff and gives you a time and what not. Ordered all my suspension, and now gears through him.
