On Aug 16 I placed an order for a Diamondback bed cover with Truck Candy in AZ. They charged my card within 24 hrs and stated there is a 4-6 week lead time by DiamondBack.

Fast forward 4 weeks, I emailed them to get an update. No reply. I called and they said since I ordered the cover with Line-X, it would take an additional week for that process. That seem questionable, but since it was still within 6 week time frame, I didn't question it much. Another week passed, I emailed for another update, and again no reply. When I called, they said they'll check on it, but it should ship very soon. No call back, but I get an email that evening that my order has shipped. I am thinking...Great!... Nope! When I tracked the shipment a few days after, I noticed that it was moving in the wrong direction and thought it was odd. It turned that shipment was meant for another customer (hum..?) I called Bryon (whom I been in contacted with) who said he didn't know how that happened. Apologized and said he would check on it the next business day (Monday, 9/25). Wednesday rolls around and still no call back or an email from him. I called and again Bryon said it should be shipping very soon. Finally, having enough of his excuses, I asked for a PO# so I can contact DiamondBack myself.

Long story short, today I get an email from Diamondback (DB) stating my order have not shipped because Truck Candy has not paid for it. Of course, I immediately call Bryon who apparently doesn't know what that's all about because he paid DB last week. (I am thinking...last week? That should have been done 5 weeks ago.) Anyway, DB stated that TC just paid today (9/28) and my order is now in the queue. Thankfully, DB is going to expedited my order and get it shipped out the middle of next week.

Oh, that company made me so upset! They not only flat out lied to me, they apparently are having some cash flow problem. Be warned...

Why didn't you buy direct from DB or other reputable online resellers? TruckCandy.com has a weak ass website, looks fishy.

I should have. I thought I would give a small business a chance. I did also talk with them briefly over the phone and they sounded okay.

I feel you. Live and learn. I also would like to support local businesses when I can, but I feel more times than not they don't hold their own against the big online retailers. Less capital, slower turnaround, customer service harder to get in touch with, list goes on...

Yeah... there's always a few rotten egg out there, but for the most part, I've had good experiences with the small guys.

You are still within 90 days. Wait until the end of next week and if nothing yet then just dispute it with your credit card company. I hate when companies do this.
