    Saw an ad on IG from this douche whistle https://www.instagram.com/trd__adventure/ and got a little suspicious after a simple request for a photo seemed to be too much to ask so I told the seller I was going to have a friend that was local to him stop by and take a look at the product before I purchased it. He gave me an address in Jax, FL and when I googled earthed the address it was a Mattress Firm store lol...so I started playing with the guy.

    Hell... maybe he worked there and just had a side gig selling taco parts so I asked him his name, looked up the nearest mattress firm and called the store and was told that the location / address he sent me closed two years ago and they had never heard of the guy. I kept playing stupid with the guy and he kept sending me google image screen shots of the product, etsy images etc and the lies just kept getting funnier and funnier. He kept insisting that the name of his store was " Mattress Firm TRD Adventure " :rofl:

    Beware, the guy has almost 9K followers and posts pretty good stuff for sale on IG almost daily

    Really though it's so easy to spot the inconsistencies

    You've got different quality pictures (who uses different phone picture settings between items?) with different floors/grounds and backgrounds which tells me he just stole pics and is using them as his own

    There’s been a couple of threads on similar Instagram scams, maybe same person, maybe group of people, who knows. They make long profile names, repost a bunch of stolen photos, I guess have bots follow the account to make it look legit and then each product gets like 2-3 comments from the same few recycled followers. Total scam.

    I don’t buy anything from Instagram unless the seller is well known in the community.

    Also, I took a look at that Instagram page. 9k followers and can't even get 10 likes on a post? That's sketch.
    $5000 bucks says he did the following:
    1. Bought fake followers from a website
    2. Follow/Unfollow campaign

    It's mostly Option one because Follow/Unfollow would at least garner SOME likes. This has jack :redxfall:
