Of course it’s possible. We don’t know how you drive or use the vehicle

My commute to work is 15 miles of stop and go with about 12 traffic lights mixed in. So, I end up accelerating to 60 and stopping almost a dozen times twice a day. My 2nd gen has warped the rear drums twice and my work truck 3rd gen, same issue. I just learn to live with it haha

Next time turn traction control all the way off when ripping it in the snow. Hold the traction control button down for 5 seconds while in park.

Not claiming the way you drive but this reminds me of an asshat the other day when i was on my cruise control at 54 mph for these secondary 2 lane roads with a line of cars in front of me.. Here comes a jeep 6' off my rear tailgate in back for miles. Finally pass's me in a no passing zone.... Now they catch up to the line of cars just in front....here he, or she is slamming on the brakes every few seconds for miles for the cars in front until we all reach town. Yeah, they sure got far in front passing me me.

    I don't drive like that.

To be honest I have been making this commute for 5 years now. These tacomas are the only trucks I have had brake issues with.

I do have to brake aggressively once in a while but that shouldn't be enough to warp a set of drums.

Another thing...why does it happen with mostly jeep owners?

The gen1 tundras got a bad rap and justly so for warped rotors and drums. They were basically the same units a tacoma had at the time.

Seems like its a hit or miss with them. My 2017 is on its second set of pads in the front with original rotors, no issues at 60K. Yet a brand new Tundra shakes like hell trying to stop at 4K.

My 2001 tundra went through pads and rotor every 20k miles. They replaced the drums and star adjuster at 14k miles as a tsb. I never had any dum issues till 150k when i changed the shoes, but there was still material left on them. The rotors...i bought EBC drilled and slotted ones and used the stock toyota ceramic pads. Warped rotor issue solved. Never needed new rotors replaced again.
