I'm thinking of looking at some pre owned Tacoma's. I found a few with in driving distance from me that are 2019 SR5 models with under 15,000 miles. I checked with my credit union they will finance as new with mileage under 15k and if it's a 2019.
I know I will probably get all the regular remaining Toyota new vehicle warranty. I'm just not sure the included maintenance offer would continue on to me or not and if they are any other things I'd loose out on not being the original owner. Anyone know? Is this a good way to get a good deal on a nearly new truck?

The price of used is probably real close to new from what I’ve seen.
    I’d go new. :D

Hmmm? Good question. I presume you're referring to the 2 year Toyota Care program. Best call the dealership regarding that. I believe the warranty transfers to the new owner. If you can work out a decent price I'd say you're good to go. I bought my '19 brand new almost exactly a year ago 10% off invoice. Hopefully they'll offer you a heftier discount than that.

I found a 2019 with 14,000 miles for 27,400. The only thing I think is going to be difficult is getting more than next to nothing for my trade in. It's hard to swallow getting only $1100 for a good running vehicle.

The truck I'm interested in is at a Ford dealership.

Yeah, trade-ins....ugh. private sale would probably generate a better result but that could take time. The Ford dealer probably has their own initial / limited maintenance program. I'd ask the local Toyota dealer about the Toyota Care program as well. Perhaps Toyota Care will view the purchase honorably by including you into the mix. Hard to say? I'd call them & explain the situation. All they could say is yay or nay

You can probably get a smokin deal on a new left over 2019, probably will get more for your trade that way too.

2 year toyota care is tied to VIN not owner. As long as p.o. didnt get early oil changes its still got another free one.

You will have the 2 year toyota care, that transfers with the truck. I bought mine used with 10K on it and used the toyota care with no problem.

Nice good to know it's still good for maybe one more oil change.

As far as what I have to trade I have my 2006 turbo diesel Jeep Liberty. It's in good condition, mechanically sound, has good tires, brakes and all. It would ace state inspection but has 150,000 miles. They offered only $1150 to which I laughed. If I want to go with that deal I'd have to sell it myself. I can't see giving away a good running vehicle for so little no matter what it is well except maybe a pinto, Yugo or something no one ever wants.

It’s only two oil changes and a few tire rotations so maybe $200 worth of service.

Bumper to bumper goes 3/36k and power train 5/60k

Cool I will keep that in mind. I really want something newer. It's all about finding the right deal I suppose. I will definitely sell it myself if someone is interested in it. I should probably take some photos of it and all. I've had it for like ten years and I'm a single guy with not kids so the interior is decent, not filled with smashed chips and spilled soda like cars owned by people with kids.

Better off going new- finance incentives may be better and for the few bux you may save- generally speaking if your over $30 000 ++ it's not worth it IMO.
A couple % on financing or better terms can make up the difference in some cases by getting new.
Check the dealerships directly also and tell them you have financing lined up and they may want to try and steal your business and provide a better rate also or some incentive to buy (ie $1000 or 2000 off etc etc, free extended warranty etc).

That's funny cuz I was looking back in November at new. The salesman at the dealership in town didn't offer that. Infact they jacked me around big time and would not even tell me the rate untill I signed up to buy it. They didn't want to negotiate down from full sticker price one nickel either. I walked out.
