what is covered in the standard warranty? Say your clutch(unlikely) goes out at 15k miles, is that covered?

It depends, if its worn from abuse of the owner then absolutely no, but if it fails do to a mechanical issue then I would say yes even though it is a wear item.

A clutch is a tricky one. It would have to be proven to be a manufacturers defect to be covered. A clutch burned up at 15k miles could be due to driver error. Basically, non service items will be covered, service items may or may not be, depending on the failure.
