Was curious if getting a new headunit would void the warranty or anything? I know most of the electrical stuff goes thru the headunit... so just seeing if anyone would know.

    THanks!

"most of the electrical stuff" meaning what??

And read up on the MOss Magnusson Act. Unless the new radio causes the issue you want covered under warranty you should be good to go.

You'll be fine. As Brunes mentioned, read up on the Moss Magnusson Act.

New civics, bmw and a few other guys have their entire security system wired threw the headunit, making it a bitch to change. Honda said the same thing with our civic a while back. Also, few places wanted to install one.

But no, it does not void anything. The HU is not hot wired to any other system.

I had an Alpine head unit installed within the first week of having my truck. I checked with the dealer first and they confirmed that it would NOT void the warranty. You should be fine but no harm in calling the dealer and asking. If you're really paranoid you could ask for a confirmation email so that you have evidence.

WHo cares what the dealer tells you...It's the law that matters.
