I did the same one. Inexpensive piece of mind to cover the electronics, which are already a bit of a headache.

What did you pay for the 100k? I just bought a 2020 Tacoma Sport and the dealership is giving me a price of $1050 for 8 yrs/100k miles. Not sure if this is a good deal.

IIRC, my 10/100 was around $1,300. Your quote seems inline for an 8/100.

    Congrats on your new truck!

Thanks! I was able to get 10/100 for $1360, right in line with you. I plan on keeping this truck for a long time. The platinum plan covers a lot of stuff. It was a peace of mind decision for me.

Just make sure it's for the Toyota Platinum Extended Warranty with 0 deductible and not some weird 3rd party warranty.

We inquired of the 100k extended warranty, I ask salesman if the valve covers starts to leak oil would that repair be covered under warranty as I read those leak with time, he went back to talk to someone, came back and relayed to us it's not, gaskets are wear and tear from normal use. Guess they classified the vc gaskets a lot worse than tires, no pro-rated warranty.

he mentioned toyota is pretty solid but the "electronics" is costly if ever...

I HATE oil leaks, got 2 vehicles with over 200k miles that still runs great besides the oil pan leaks.

I think that’s a fair price, I talked from 2400 down to 1700, I know I could have got them lower, I was 400 plus miles from home and I just wanted to get moving.

Damn I couldn’t find any posts about what guys were paying for them when I went to get mine. I was short on time. They got me a little at 1700 but I’ll live with it.

I think I paid about $1200 for the Toyota Platinum 100K warranty on my 2016. I let the Finance guy convince me it was a good deal with all the “new electronics”. 76K miles now with no issues. I talked with a home inspector yesterday who has 115K on his 3rd gen TRD Sport 2wd with zero issues, so I’d say don’t bother, put the money towards your lift and other mods.

i don't know have a something that can protect you from a lot of expensive cost for a little, just a little piece of mind is worth it.

To each his own. To me, TSS is a POS, prone to misbehave. That is with one year in. I assume 3 or more years may prove pricey.
