Warranty Voiding

Yes there is and it just isn't right. I'm one of those (many) folks who believe that what you do comes back on you and I am simply not a fan of dishonesty. Magnuson-Moss was not created to help the dishonest.

 

You mean Bob, HotDog and the other large and in-charges can void my warranty?

You take your chances with anything you put on your truck that alters it's handling/performance/looks.

 

That is the exact opposite of what the act is intended to do. It may ultimately be true. However I posted this because I got tired of people saying that they went about a certain way of performing a mod because one way would have voided warranty. Ex. Soldering instead of crimping, having a mechanic perform an easy install that one could easily perform themselves.

 

That's also a 100% incorrect view. It IS up to the dealer to prove that something you did caused the failure if that's the reason they are denying warranty coverage. I suggest you read the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act so you can see that it specifically states this.
