ok so I'm probably wrong but i don't see a thread for lists of things that have happened to peoples 3rd get TACOS. I've had my TRD OR DCSB 4x2 in the shop for repair. heres a few thing I've been in for..... please keep in mind i still LOVE my truck and i wouldn't hesitate in buying another, this one just might not be too lucky.

head liner has been replaced (yes the entire interiors roof because of a constant rattle)

Seat replaced (stitching is falling apart)

hood has been "fixed" (toyota sent it to a body shop and they added a crap ton of silicone glue)

the diff started making grinding noises when i locked it(i took it in and it was 1quart low)

howling wind noise coming from control arm (had to ducktape control arm to get it to stop)

truck still makes howling noise at 75+ mph

any way feel free to post problems and solutions if you have them for your truck!

Can you describe the howling noise? Depending on the wind I can often times get a vibrating sound from the driver side door. I also have really bad wind noise, far worse than my 2011 Yaris and the wife's 2015 Corolla. I also have a bad vibrating sound whenever I get above 2500rpms. It sounds like something is vibrating in the glove box even though I have it totally empty.

Wonder if I should take it in or see if a test drive of another Taco reveals the same issues.

A/C Compressor was replaced on my DCSB Sport 4x4 @ 350 miles. It had a short and the A/C would not remain on.

I might have found a new one!

While driving back from the dealership at night, I looked in my rear view mirror, and observed two motorcycles bouncing along the road behind me. When I got to a place with street lights, I could see that the "two motorcycles" were really one car, with two headlights!

Yep, the rear view mirror was distorted ... has a ripple ... causing the view out the back window to wobble.
(Bringing it in today, to see if the maintenance crew can see the same thing, and replace it under warranty).

(Oh ... yea, I too had the low ATF level problem).
