Very pronounced at 34-36 seconds in when a gust hits. But you can hear it though the whole video.

Did that, and I still get it with a cross wind. It's pretty much gone at low speeds though, but not on the highway. I taped up the lower holes described in the thread. I also noticed it while I was under the truck looking at taping the top holes and I could hear it whistling while I was under it. :goingcrazy:

I'll get to the top ones when it's warm outside again. Went from 74º yesterday afternoon to 34º early this morning. Midwest at it's finest.

Now if I could only find what is rattling on the passenger side. Might be the dash speaker area or under/behind the glovebox as others have had problems with those areas. Also my driver side door rattles when playing music with sustained bass, but the passenger side is fine. Oh, and the passenger side fender flare is starting to separate from the bumper. And the hood scoop is now bending upwards in the middle and doesn't stay all the way down.

On the bright side, my driveline seems to be fine. It's mostly all fit and finish issues that I'm having. 6,600 miles as of the weekend.

That is the exact noise I have. It shouldn't be there but I can't easily replicate it.
As for the passenger rattling I have that as well and assume it has to be inside the actual console. If you figure that out let me know.

I'm amazed at these reports of low diff fluids, low auto trans fluids, Etc. on these new trucks. It looks like neither the factory, or dealer is giving it a final inspection before they take your money these days. If I buy anything new, I'm going over every fluid on it.

I have noticed that after the wife rides in the passenger side if the seat belt is not positioned correctly it will give a rattle. Have to reach over and straighten it out and it stops. Other than that no rattles on mine.

This is the pretty much the same noise that is on some 2nd gens and the same noise that was on my 2nd gen. Yours sounds slightly less pronounced but I think it's probably from the same source. It comes from the windshield and there is a 2nd gen TSB for it. I hope they make good for the 3rd gen owners.

Ohhhh, Mr. Sweers. All new parts except the seat belt buckle.....3rd Gen eh.......

    From the video comments:

"Had the exact same buzzing noise on my 05 Taco DC.. I put 2" wide clear taper over the TOP windshield moulding and the noise stopped . It seems the wind blowing by the top moulding makes a vibration and nasty sound ..Think I will experiment with clear silicone across the top . Toyota should fix this ..."

My '94 pickup actually made a similar sound for the last year I owned it.

Tried the same thing with the silicon but in my case it did not help. I had to take it to the dealership (the blower fan on my truck went at the same time) and they fixed both.

Fortunately I've had no problems since. I'm not sure what they did to fix the windshield noise.

Only issue mine has after 4 days is the hood vibration, I'll probably take it in for the adhesive bonding to be applied but it's not really hurting anything.

Have read the auto trans issues, but not this one.

Curious. What is the diff capacity? 1qt seems like a lot to be low in a diff...........

In my case I was not able to detect movement in the windshield. My 2010 had it and it was reported from model years before that, including the 2005 first year. Even guys after my 2010 had it. Toyota had a TSB for it for years but they never fixed the problem so it would not happen in the first place.

Now it seems to be happening in the 3rd gen....this is a major fail in my opinion.

My 2003 Ford Ranger XLT (4.0L) 4x4 had 156k miles on it and it was bulletproof. Drove the piss out of that thing and hammered on it off road. Only problem I had was an intermittent power window switch on the passenger side door and the rear main seal was starting to leak ever so slowly... but overall was very impressed with the toughness and reliability of that vehicle.
