I dropped my truck off at the dealer last month for them inspect a noise/vibration. The next day they told me it was the rear diff and they had to order it and to bring it back later in the week. I drop it back off and find out the next day the part was damaged during shipping. they had to order a new one and said to pick it up until it came in. Took it back last week and they replaced the rear diff. On my way home the truck is still making the same noise but not as bad. I talked to the dealer today and they said a tech would ride with me to show them the issue.
All 3 times I have got rides or altered my schedule to leave it. Now since they "fixed" it and I have to bring it back should a rental be expected? I told them that I could not leave it this week.

the way i see it is. if it's under warranty and it's going to take more than 1 day to fix it. you should get a rental. but, sadly it doesn't always work that way. it can't hurt to demand one. i would.

Yeah...If the repair is supposed to take over a 1 day you are entitled to a rental- They may give you a hard time about it- but it's in the paperwork.
