A few yrs back someone who was not treated nicely by dealership took Deer scent in a large bottle and squirted it in 5 trucks on the lot.....

 

Hahah I’m not trying to get in trouble here just get me truck back that has thousands of dollars of tools and climbing equipment in the bed

 

I would NEVER imply doing something like this.....

 

That would also net you a date with Bubba the Large. If you had any doe pee left over you could use it as emergency lube.

I had a Lexus RX 450 (Hybrid) that a squirrel ate through a tranny line, while I was backpacking. The dealership denied it (rodent damage) and Farmer's insurance denied it too (they apparently had added an exclusion clause for animal damage a few years before and we hadn't caught it). That was about $9K (hybrid tranny's aren't cheap). Lesson learned. I am no longer with Farmer's (it is almost funny when I see their ads saying they have seen everything and covered it. Apparently they see it and exclude it.).

 

This is good info for members in the area who may need warranty work. Toyota World's service manager has a god complex.

When I was stationed in NJ, I took my truck to Liberty Toyota for warranty work without problems. I agree with others here alot of NJ Toyota dealers have god complexes (Holman and Del). My 2011 was lifted and the passenger side diff seal started leaking at 52k, they covered it under warranty with loaner, no problem. 2016 rear diff had the drone / hum thing, replaced under warranty no questions with loaner. If its not to much of a hike I'd try there.

From everything I've gathered (not much really) my guess is the dealership is trying to take advantage which is par for the course really. Service advisers "judgement call" plus $7k to fix it is a joke. I would never do business with that dealership again but I don't do business with dealerships at all really for this very reason. Professional scam artists from top to bottom and unfortunately legal.

Well Toyota is Absolutly useless and I’m fixing my truck myself anyone know where I can purchase a rear differential re build kit?
