No, not to my knowledge. If you come in with a Toyota warranty (because you're visiting from out of state or you lived out of state and moved to FL, for example) they will honor it, you just can't buy a factory warranty from TFS if you have an FL residence address, or an address in any state in SETD's territory.

 

This is a direct quote from Jennifer when I purchased my warranty last week.

“The plan is the Toyota/Lexus Extra Care Platinum $0 deductible, backed directly by Toyota/Lexus, so it's good at any Toyota/Lexus dealer in the US or Canada”

 

thank you all so much I actually went in to the dealership and they said I have a 48 month 60k premium warranty and I didn't even know it lol

 

Do you have any paperwork on it? Is it from Toyota? Is it a bumper to bumper or just powertrain? Lots of unknowns here, and even if it's a bumper to bumper it's only giving you an extra year over the standard factory warranty. Call me silly but I wouldn't trust what the dealer tells me unless it's in writing.

 

See if it is refundable you may be able to get some money back and cover the cost of a 100k depending on what they charged you

To clarify. You got a 10 year 100k mile Platinum Toyota VSA and this is a Toyota factory extended warranty?
Would you mind sharing what the total cost was through Jenn at Wolverine?

 

Give her a call she will email you the price matrix for all of the options. I went 8 yrs/100k $0 deduct for a little over a grand.

I live in the SE Toyota district and have a extended warranty through Jennifer. Confirmed with a letter from Toyota.
7yr/125k. She requested that I not post the #'s. However, it was very competitive, hassle free and hope to never need it. I'll probably sell it (for a Pro m/t) before too long. Will offer buyer option to extend or cancel and price accordingly.

To clarify this, she asked that the matrix not be posted online as it is against Toyota's policy (for obvious reasons).

Can i cancel my current warranty then rebuy it. Lets just say I paid 3x more for less. Dealership really got me there.

 

From the TFS website:

Cancellation
You can cancel your VSA within 30 days for a full refund, less a $50 processing fee (as permitted by state law). Cancellations will be prorated if applied for after 30 days. Please see your dealer for state-specific cancellation policies.

Also keep in mind that if you rolled it into your vehicle financing any refund will go to your lender, not to you.
